The 2015 Ford Mustang GT (S550) is a sport version of the sixth generation (2015—present) Ford Mustang pony car, which succeeds the previous fifth generation (2005—2014) Ford Mustang (S197).
Description
The sixth generation of the Ford Mustang debuted on December 5, 2013 with same-day media events in Dearborn, Michigan, Los Angeles, California, New York City, New York, Barcelona, Spain, Shanghai, China, and Sydney, Australia. The 2015 Mustang marks the 50th anniversary of continuous Mustang production, which began in March 1964 in advance of the debut of the original Mustang at the 1964 New York World's Fair on April 17, 1964 in Flushing, Queens.
Development of the 2015 Mustang (codename "S550") began in 2009 under chief engineer Dave Pericak and (from late-2009) exterior design director Joel Piaskowski, shortly after the updated 2010 model year Mustang went on sale. In December 2010, an exterior design theme proposal by Kemal Curic from Ford's Cologne, Germany design studios was selected by design management. Curic relocated to Ford's design studios in Dearborn in January 2011. During mid-stage development, Curic's original exterior design proposal was eventually rejected by Ford executives, resulting in rapid design changes. After reviewing 3 different exterior theme proposals (A, B, and C) in design clinics in September 2012, the final exterior design (Theme A) was approved by Ford management, with the final design freeze occurring in December 2012, 20 months ahead of originally scheduled August 2014 production. The interior design program began in the spring of 2010, under Doyle Letson. By late 2011, a final interior proposal was settled on and was combination of Theme A & B. In June 2012, the final interior design was frozen. The first test mules in 2010 model year bodies were spotted earlier in June 2012, and the first S550 prototypes were built five months later (exterior design freeze) in May 2013.
The 2015 Ford Mustang GT uses a 5.0L (4,949 cc) naturally aspirated Coyote V8, with power rated as 435 hp (324 kW) at 6,500 rpm and torque 400 ft·lb (542 N·m) at 4,250 rpm. The V8 has a compression ratio of 11.0:1.
The 2015 Ford Mustang's bodywork is influenced by the Ford Evos concept on the front.

Summary
The 2015 Ford Mustang GT, shortened just to 2015 Ford Mustang (previously referred to as the Ford 2015 Mustang), was added in the Fuel Events Update, alongside the Chrysler ME412. Before the Decals Update both cars were Premium Cars and were purchasable in the Airborne Premium Pack, which cost $49.99 ($99.99 prior to the Dubai Update). It was given out as a free prize in the 2015 Ford Mustang Cup event in early 2015, provided the player participated in all of the races in the event and completed them all (with times below 4 minutes).
The 2015 Ford Mustang has the following rank statistics:
- Starting rank: 924
- MAX rank: 1168
- MAX+PRO rank: 1319
- Tuning Kit bonus: +52
Performance
The 2015 Ford Mustang basically acts as a stat upgrade to the Nissan 370Z, with improved acceleration and Nitro. The only difference is that the Mustang has poor handling. The 2015 Mustang also rivals the Ferrari 308 GTS with superior acceleration and nitro duration while the latter has a marginally higher top speed and better handling but at the expense of nitro duration.
Price
The 2015 Ford Mustang can currently be purchased for 1,050. MAX costs 300,960 and 185,649 to Pro, making it the cheapest post-The Great Wall Update car in terms of the cost of MAXing it out.
Asphalt Nitro
The 2015 Ford Mustang behaves much like its Asphalt 8: Airborne rendition.
