The 2021 Netflix Relaunch (unofficial name) marks the Netflix Ownership of Asphalt Xtreme after its shutdown in early 2021. Unlike previous versions, a Netflix account must be required in order to access the game. Drastic changes include the removal of various cars and track variations, the introduction of Crowns, the removal of tokens, and the re-introduction of the previously dormant Special Projects (renamed as Launch Event).

Game changes[]
- All microtransactions have been permanently removed from the game, the ability to purchase bundles, credits, and tokens are now not possible.
- Tokens have been removed from the game permanently, and has been replaced by new premium currency called Crowns. Crowns can be earned through playing the career, mastery, TLE, Daily Logins, Daily Challenges, and multiplayer.
- Although it functions very similarly to Tokens, Crowns cannot be used to purchase upgrades for cars, but can be used to unlock certain decals for vehicles.
- Box prices and drop rates have been adjusted
- Maximum amount of tickets increased from 10 to 14
- Fuel system has been completely removed, similar to Asphalt 8's removal of elite tuning
- New box: Template:Platinum Box Similar to Gold Box, but only grants A and S class blueprints, and also is the only box to grant blueprints for the Gharial
- Career Missions now grant Crowns, and the Career Season has now been cut down from 20 to 15. The maximum level needed to exceed all recommended ranks is now 37 instead of 50.
Bugs/glitches[]
- Upon a new account being created, some AI drivers can be seen driving in completely black cars regardless of model. This effect is removed upon knocking them down.
- Early into the release, Achieving a time quicker than 1:05.000 would result in a synchronization error that prevented players from allowing their time to be posted on the leaderboard, this has since been fixed.
- Some Limited Time events, specifically championships, had a "-J", incorrectly placed on the end of the event name (EX: Peugeot Hoggar Concept-J Championship), this can be simply an ongoing typo resulting from the first championship being for the Lynx DCC 2016-J.
