The Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA (GTA standing for Gran Turismo Alleggerita) is the concept hot hatch version of the Alfa Romeo MiTo, unveiled at the March 2009 Geneva Motor Show as a concept car. It features a 1.8L turbocharged I4 engine with maximum power rated at 240 PS (177 kW; 237 hp).
The Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA is at the top of the lowest quartile within Class D. It is one of four Alfa Romeo vehicles in the game.
Now, the Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA is the ninth Class D car out of thirty-three, as the Ford F-150 was curiously placed below it. The Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA currently lies between the Mini Cooper S Roadster, another original car, and the Renault CLIO R.S. 200 EDC, the first car ever added in an update.
Within its quartile, the Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA has considerable statistics:
Compared to the rest of Class D, this increase is higher than all cars after the Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA but lower than all cars before it, besides a few stragglers with unusually large upgrade increases, such as the Camaro Z/28 and Renault DeZir.
The Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA is a good starter's car. Most of the emphasis of speed is on the top speed, and the car's nitro stat is small and short-lasting. This means that the player doesn't have to be skilled at nitro usage for the car to perform decently. The car also has a high handling sensitivity, amplified further by its small nitro stat; however, this car's handling is not the greatest, as the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe's handling can be upgraded unusually high; much higher than the Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA. The Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA has decent acceleration and drifting, although its small nitro stat does little to assist its acceleration.
The Alfa Romeo, however, has poor performance when compared to other cars which take more skill to use properly. The two cars directly behind it are faster accelerating and have much longer nitro durations, while the two cars directly in front of it have higher nitro stats and only slightly longer nitro durations. All of these cars have lower raw top speeds, the one most defining advantage of the Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA, besides its handling.
In Multiplayer, the Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA underperforms, due to its uncompetitive but easy-to-use build.
At ranks 800-1000, it cannot compete with the following cars: Renault DeZir, Porsche 959, Range Rover Evoque Coupe HSE Dynamic, Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe, Mazda 6, Nissan Juke Nismo, SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI, Camaro Z/28, Volkswagen Beetle Turbo, Ford F-150, 1967 Chevrolet Impala, etc.
At ranks 1000-1200, it can barely compete with any cars at all, due to the common and effective Range Rover Evoque Coupe HSE Dynamic, as well as due to the presence of other similarly fast or faster cars, such as the Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG Special Edition.
Class D Cars with similar builds to the Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA include:
Build: High Top Speed, High Handling/Drifting, Medium Acceleration, Low Nitro Power, Low Nitro Efficiency
- Dodge Dart GT
- Audi S4
- Ferrari 308 GTS (note: extremely high emphasis on top speed)
- BMW M3 Sedan
- Mazda 6 (note: usable in MP due to low starting rank)
- Mazda RX8 (current most effective Class D car; its nitro efficiency is relatively low for its position but still higher than 10/15/20)
The Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA is an average choice for Time-Limited Events. However, it is an excellent choice for Career Mode, due to its low price.
As of the Motorcycles Update, the Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA costs 20,000 or 315 (originally 12,000 or 190, then 18,000 or 285) to purchase.
As of the 2019 Spring Update, it costs 342,000 to MAX and 84,000 to PRO.
