The Aston Martin DB9 Coupé(also referred to as simply DB9) is an Aston Martin car featured in the Asphalt series. The Aston Martin DB9 Coupé was one of the oldest modern Aston Martin cars in real life.
Overview
The Aston Martin DB9 is the successor to the Aston Martin DB7 with a Ford VH (Vertical/Horizontal) platform composed mainly of aluminum. Its engine is derived from the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish and its bodywork was derived from the Aston Martin DBS.
Asphalt 8: Airborne
The Aston Martin DB9 Coupé is a low-end Class B car. It has a starting rank of 1161 (same as the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione from Class C), a maximum rank of 1337, and a final rank of 1394, making the DB9 Coupé the weakest Aston Martin vehicle in the game. The Aston Martin DB9 Coupé in Asphalt 8 uses the facelifted model (2013-) and not the (2004-2012) model.
The Aston Martin DB9 Coupé's main advantage is its top speed, giving it an advantage on long tracks like Iceland, Tokyo, Venice, and Monaco. The DB9 however does not perform well in the other aspects. The acceleration is very bad, as well as its nitro, both power and efficiency, and the handling requires care around sharp corners. Thus, it is an inferior choice to the DS Survolt in terms of a starter car, as if the Survolt manages its nitro well, then it gives no weak points to the DB9.
With poor overall stats for a car if its rank, the DB9 can be considered as one of the worst cars in the game. Thus, it is not recommended to get this car except for a free Class B upgrade in its Mastery, for completion of career mode and for collection purposes.
The DB9 costs 14,500 to purchase and 265,900 to max out. Alternatively, it can be purchased from the Class B Car Pack or the Standard Car Pack (which also adds the Audi R8 e-tron, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive, Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series, and GTA Spano).
