Summary
The Aston Martin DB9 Coupe is an early Class B car. It is the second car in Class B and is one of the 10 original cars in Class B.
The DB9 Coupe has a starting rank of 1161 (shared with the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione from Class C), a MAX rank of 1337, and a MAX + PRO rank of 1394. The DB9 Coupe receives a Tuning Kit bonus of +41.
Performance
The DB9 Coupe has a very bad "triple-tap" launch speed of around 7 seconds (+Nitro Starter -Tuning Kit). The DB9 Coupe's handling is not unbearable but it is inferior to the DS Survolt's, while the DB9 Coupe's drifting and nitro efficiency (10/15/20) are both very bad.
The DB9 Coupe's only advantages against the DS Survolt are a much higher raw top speed and a slightly higher total top speed (with a Tuning Kit, the total top speed is roughly equal, due to the DS Survolt's superior Tuning Kit bonus), though the DS Survolt's far superior nitro efficiency usually means that it has a higher average speed unless the user has activated an Extra Tank.
The DB9 Coupe can be described as one of the worst cars in the game for its rank, being even worse than the Dodge Dart GT, SRT 2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8, Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR-X, and both RUF cars, relatively speaking. However, the DB9 Coupe's relatives, the V12 Zagato, V12 Vantage, One-77, and Vulcan, are each straight upgrades to each other in every statistic, including drifting radius and nitro efficiency, going from the lowest-ranked car to the highest-ranked car. This means that all of the other Aston Martin cars possess fewer and fewer of the downsides of the DB9 Coupe, to the point where they possess none at all.
Usage
Price
With poor overall stats for a car if its rank, the DB9 can be considered as one of the worst cars in the game. Thus, it is not recommended to get this car except for a free Class B upgrade in its Mastery, for completion of career mode and for collection purposes.
The DB9 counts towards 4 collections: Aston Martin, Britain's Finest, GT Club and British Gentlemen
The DB9 costs 14,500 to purchase and 265,900 to max out. Alternatively, it can be purchased from the Class B Car Pack or the Standard Car Pack.
