The Aston Martin One-77 is a limited, production two-door supercar built by British luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin. It first appeared at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, although the car remained mostly covered by a "Savile Row tailored skirt" throughout the show, before being fully revealed at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, and deliveries started from the beginning of 2011.
Description
Prior to the Aston Martin One-77's Paris Motor Show debut, various details about the car had been leaked, but official specifications were not fully revealed until the 2009 Geneva International Motor Show.
The Aston Martin One-77 uses a full carbon fiber monocoque chassis and a handcrafted aluminum body. The car is powered by a front mid-engine mounted 7.3L (7,312 cc) naturally aspirated V12 engine that produces 750 HP (760 PS; 559 kW) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. Aston Martin claimed that the One-77 would become the world's most powerful naturally aspirated production car in the world when the first car was delivered, beating the McLaren F1's old record of 627 hp (468 kW).
The car uses a strengthened version of the Aston Martin DB9's 6-speed automated manual transmission in transaxle architecture and height-adjustable pushrod suspension coupled with dynamic stability control. It features Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires (255/35 ZR20 front, 335/30 ZR20 rear) and Carbon Ceramic Matrix brakes.
The engineering and build source of the carbon chassis and suspension system was contracted to Multimatic of Canada.
Actual tests in December 2009 have shown that the Aston Martin One-77 is capable of a 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 220 mph (354 km/h), currently making it the fastest Aston Martin car in existence.
There was a limited run of 77 cars, giving part of the name of the One-77, and sold for GB£1,150,000.
Asphalt 3D
The Aston Martin One-77 is the cover car of this game.
Asphalt 6: Adrenaline
The Aston Martin One-77 is an unlockable vehicle in this game.
Asphalt 7: Heat
The Aston Martin One-77 has the highest star requirements and costs of the Tier 6 cars, but is nearly useless because other cars like the Ferrari Enzo Ferrari and Lamborghini Reventón have superior nitro power and the same nitro efficiency. The acceleration is hampered because of its weight and its handling is just plain. Nitro power is surprisingly not the best – it actually comes close to Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.
Asphalt 8: Airborne
Summary
The Aston Martin One-77 was added in the Rio de Janeiro Update. Previously, it was featured in a community car poll, alongside the Arrinera Hussarya GT (later added in the Munich Update), DC Avanti, Ferrari FXX K, Honda Civic Type R (also added in the Munich Update), Koenigsegg Regera, Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4, Lexus LFA, Saleen S5S Raptor, and W Motors Fenyr Supersport, the latter of which was also added in the Rio de Janeiro Update.
It is the first Aston Martin vehicle to be added to the game in an update and the second Enduro Double Down-unlockable car. Eight other cars are used:
- AC 378 GT Z (bonus car)
- Aston Martin DB9 Coupé
- Aston Martin V12 Zagato
- Aston Martin V12 Vantage (bonus car)
- Lucra L148
- Bentley EXP10 Speed 6
- Pagani Huayra
- Peugeot Onyx
Performance
Having been improved greatly from its previous renditions, the Aston Martin One-77 has a starting rank of 1486, a MAX rank of 1666, and a MAX+PRO rank of 1777, part of which references its name. The car receives a Tuning Kit bonus of +38 rank points. Its main rivals are the McLaren 675LT/9FF GT9 VMAX, Mosler GT3, Jaguar XJ220S, and GT by CITROEN.
While its acceleration isn't overly good, the Aston Martin One-77 actually has the same nitro consumption rates as the McLaren 675LT, with 5/10/15 instead of the usual 6/11/16 that its nitro stat would have normally warranted (as is the case with the Koenigsegg One:1); the same case occurs with the Falcon F7. The handling, if at all, is satisfyingly good, while its overall top speed is only slightly better than the Peugeot Onyx. The One-77, however, does have a slightly higher total speed than the 675LT.
The car's drifting and handling abilities are far better than the Sbarro Alcador and is the fourth Class A car in a row with a starting handling stat of 1.200 Gs, after the Chevrolet 2016 Camaro SS, BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage, and Jaguar XJ220S.
Official review
This is the official review of the Aston Martin One-77 on the Asphalt YouTube channel, made by Elite_HectorX and published on August 17, 2016:
Time to reach end of Tokyo straight: 7.458s
Perfect nitro duration: 10.593s
Triple nitro duration: N/A
French Guiana lap time: 56.463s
Tokyo lap time: 1.17.649s
Final verdict: "The Aston Martin One-77 is the third best A Class car after the BMW Hommage and the 2016 Camaro. Overall, this car is easy to drive thanks to its great handling and its long-lasting nitro."
Usage
The One-77's usefulness is lowered by its inability to compete with the Icona Vulcano V12 Hybrid, Chevrolet 2016 Camaro SS, and BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage. However, the One-77 offers a great deal of Car Mastery Rewards, including 52, tokens, and a Champion Kit Box. The One-77 was undoubtedly the best car for Aston Martin events until the Aston Martin Vulcan's inception in the Championship Update.
Price
When released for a limited time outside of Enduro Double Down, the Aston Martin One-77 costs 13,000. The prices for maxing this car out are at the most 2,765,000 or 19,420. As of the Car Blueprints Update, the One-77 must be assembled with 18 Legendary Aston Martin One-77 BP cards. Assembly takes 12 hours to complete, but can be skipped for 420.
Availability
Following its debut in the EDD, the Aston Martin One-77 was made available for purchase on the full price of 13,000 on the following dates:
- October 28~31, 2016
- December 20~23, 2016
With the Car Blueprints Update, the One-77 is permanently available in the Garage but requires 18 of its Blueprints to be built.
