The Aston Martin Valkyrie is a limited production hybrid hypercar collaboratively built by Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing Advanced Technologies.
Overview[]
- Text originally from the Valkyrie's Wikipedia page.
In February 2017, Aston Martin revealed most of the vehicle's specifications. The final specifications were revealed later in the year.
Several manufacturers (other than Aston Martin and Red Bull) have taken part in the Valkyrie's construction, those being Cosworth, Ricardo, Rimac Automobili, Multimatic, Alcon, Integral Powertrain Ltd, Bosch, Surface Transforms, Wipac, and Michelin.
The car contains a 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine tailored by Cosworth, which produces around 1,000 hp (746 kW; 1,014 PS) at 10,500 rpm, with a redline of 11,100 rpm. This will make it the most powerful naturally-aspirated engine ever to be fitted to a production road car, as well as the highest-revving. With a KERS-style boost system akin to those fitted to F1 cars, the Aston Martin Valkyrie’s hybrid system has been developed by two main technical partners; Integral Powertrain Ltd, who supplied the bespoke electric motor, and Rimac for the lightweight hybrid battery system.
As a result, the full hybrid system contributes an additional 160 bhp of power and a further 280 N⋅m of available torque with the certified max power output of Aston Martin Valkyrie standing at 1,160 hp (865 kW; 1,176 PS) @ 10,500rpm. Equally, with the full hybrid system, peak torque will stand at 900 N⋅m (664 lbf⋅ft) @ 6,000 rpm
At the same time the power output figures were released, the weight was announced to be 1,030 kg (2,271 lb), surpassing the intended 1:1 power-to-weight ratio with 1,126 hp (840 kW; 1,142 PS) per ton. The car can accelerate to 60 mph (97 km/h) from a standstill in a time of 2.6 seconds.
The exhausts exit at the top of the car, near the engine, similar to those of Formula One cars and the Porsche 918 Spyder.
Bosch supplies the Valkyrie's ECU unit, traction control system, and ESP. The braking system is provided by Alcon and Surface Transforms. The front and rear lights are manufactured by Wipac. The car has all-carbon fibre bodywork and is installed with a carbon fibre Monocell from manufacturer Multimatic. Michelin supplies the Valkyrie with the company's high-performance Sport Cup 2 tyres, having sizes of 265/35-ZR20 at the front and 325/30-ZR21 at the rear. The wheels are constructed out of lightweight magnesium alloy (20" front, 21" rear) with race-spec centre-lock wheel nuts to reduce mass. In 2020, after Red Bull Racing's Red Bull Racing RB16 had its first shakedown in Silverstone Circuit, drivers Max Verstappen and Alexander Albon drove the car around the track.

Usage[]
Availiability[]
The Aston Martin Valkyrie was available between July 2 - 30, 2021 in its Special Event during the European Season Update.
Asphalt 8: Airborne[]
In the official 2017 Asphalt 8 Most Wanted Cars poll asking which cars should be added to the game, the Aston Martin Valkyrie was among the top results, alongside the Bugatti Chiron, DS E-TENSE, Volvo S60 Polestar, Praga R1R, Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, Infiniti Project Black S, Tushek TS 600 Strada, 2017 Ford GT, and Mazda 787B.
The Valkyrie eventually appeared in the 2021 Holiday Update, four years after its initial appearance in the 2017 Community Car Poll.
It appears as a high Class S car with the following statistics:
- Starting Rank: 1438
- PRO Rank: 1860 (+322)
- Tuning Kit bonus: +55
- Nitro Efficiency: 8.5/12.5/16.5
Performance & Usage[]
The Aston Martin Valkyrie is a weak car in most areas except for handling and possibly also drifting. The Valkyrie's total top speed and raw top speed are standard although Its acceleration is mediocre for the S1860 rank bracket. The Valkyrie's main drawback, however, is its nitro efficiency, being the worst among the entire S1860 rank bracket (S1858 to S1862), even worse than the Aston Martin Valhalla's (though better than the McLaren MP4-31's at S1853). The Valkyrie's handling and drifting do seem to be fairly good based on video footage, though further testing at full-PRO is needed to determine its true value in these two areas.
The Valkyrie has a decent total top speed with partial upgrades and it does not need to be upgraded to full-PRO in order to be useful, unlike all standard Festival cars. This means that the Valkyrie has decent total top speed when specifically tuned for World Series (Classic Season) multiplayer. With that being said, the Valkyrie's poor nitro efficiency and mediocre acceleration, coupled with the high upgrades cost (due to it being a hybrid festival car) leave much to be desired.
Price & availability[]
The Aston Martin Valkyrie is obtainable by reaching Tier 15 or Tier 1 with the Premium upgrade in its Festival.
The Aston Martin Valkyrie can be purchased with 80,000 as of the 2023 Summer Update and is available for 7 days whenever it is offered.
As of the Gangstar Season Update, upgrades require 55 of each Legendary Tires, Legendary Suspension, Legendary Drivetrain, and Legendary Exhaust, 60 Legendary Tech, 60 Legendary Engine, 160 Aston Martin Valkyrie Kit, and 10,000,000.
