- The Aston Martin Vulcan's name refers to the British Cold War-era bombers of the same name and the god of fire in Roman mythology, whose Greek counterpart is Hephaestus.
- The Vulcan has occasionally been referred to by its nickname, "Rice cake", presumably owing to its resemblance to one.
- The RML Group modified an Aston Martin Vulcan for road legal use. This road-legal Vulcan features headlamps from an Aston Martin DB11, rear indicators which has been integrated into the wing, increased ride height, and a cover for its "lolly stick rear lights".
- The Aston Martin Vulcan is the fourth Multiplayer League reward car, after the TVR Sagaris, McLaren 570S, and Chevrolet Corvette C3.
- This is the second Aston Martin model to cost tokens, after the Aston Martin One-77 (The latter was later converted to a Blueprint-collectible car.
- The Aston Martin Vulcan is also the second Aston Martin car without decals, after the Aston Martin One-77.
