The Audi R8 GT is the high-performance variant of the Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro.
Overview[]
Introduced at the 2010 Wörthersee Tour, the Audi R8 GT is a high-performance variant of the R8 V10. The GT utilises a 5.2 L (5,204 cc) V10 with the quattro four-wheel drive system. Changes from the R8 5.2 FSI quattro include reduction in the curb weight by 100 kg (220 lb) to 1,525 kg (3,362 lb) and increased engine power to 560 PS (412 kW; 552 hp) at 8,000 rpm (367 PS (270 kW; 362 hp) per ton) and 540 N⋅m (398 lb⋅ft) at 6,500 rpm of torque. Because of these changes, the R8 GT has an increased top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph) and accelerates from 0–100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.6 seconds, 0.3 faster than the R8 V10. The car also features some visual changes including red brake calipers, a fixed rear wing, front bumper mounted winglets and GT badging in place of the standard V10 badging.
The car was introduced for the 2012 model year and with a limited production of 333 cars worldwide with 35 destined for the UK market and 90 for the US market.
Asphalt 7: Heat[]
The Audi R8 GT appears as a Tier 5 car.
Similar to its Asphalt Injection iteration, the Audi R8 GT is an excellent all-rounder. It has a high top speed and nitro speed, average acceleration, and high nitro efficiency.
When first added to the game, the Audi R8 GT had the best nitro efficency and nitro speed for its tier. In later updates, though, this was challenged by the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and then beaten by the Renault Alpine A110-50, Cadillac CTS-V Coupe Race Car, and Aston Martin DBS.
Asphalt Injection[]
The Audi R8 GT is a car exclusive to the PS Vita version of the game. It can be unlocked with 140 stars or for $193,000.
The Audi R8 GT can be described as an excellent all-rounder. It has a high top speed for its performance bracket, slow acceleration, strong handling, and powerful nitro. This performance would later be carried to the Lenovo Asphalt Injection in the Lenovo K860 Update.
Compared with other cars in its performance bracket, the Audi R8 GT can only compete up to the Ferrari Enzo Ferrari.
