The BMW M2 Special Edition's World Tour, known as the Fall Out Boy World Tour, was released as the first World Tour event after the Renault Trezor's Championship as part of the Fall Out Boy Update on February 7, 2018. Players are given 7 days to complete the event.

Strategy

As Fan Points are used to purchase Pro Boxes that are unlockable over time, it is recommended to wait until the Elite box is unlocked as it has a guaranteed chance of a BMW M2 Special Edition blueprint being obtained.
It is possible to beat the final AI with a tuning of 0400 4050 (1179) and double boosted.
It is recommended to continue completing challenges after the final AI until the event expires as Elite Supply boxes will give extra , , Pro Cards, and Blueprints.
- Saving up points for the currency conversion is not recommended as the equivalent Credits reward of 10,800 from an Elite Supply Box requires 900 and lacks the additional rewards.

Trivia

When players finish the event, they are automatically entered into a giveaway where they can win a copy of a signed MANIA album.
In the 2018 Spring Update, due to expiration of the Fall Out Boy license, the song data were completely removed from the game, preventing a re-run unless the event is run with generic theme that McLaren 720S onwards use. The background is still in the game, however.
- As a precedent, the ED Design Torq's R&D event had the Chinese New Year theme and references removed in order to allow the event to be run outside Chinese New Year season.
- The Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4’s R&D event’s rerun had the Winter theme removed in order to allow the event to be run outside Winter season.
