The BMW M Hybrid V8 is a LMDh-spec prototype designed by BMW, built by Dallara to compete in the World Endurance Championship and IMSA SportsCar Championship.
Description[]
Built under the LMDh specifications, the M Hybrid V8 is the first endurance prototype race car after the victorious BMW V12 LMR that won 24 Hours of Le Mans and 12 Hours of Sebring in 1999. The car was co-developed by Italian constructor Dallara, featuring LMDh hybrid powertrain, BMW P66/3 V8 engine based on 2017–18 BMW M4 DTM's P66/1 engine.
It debuted in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2023, and FIA World Endurance Championship in 2024.[1]
