Car Hunt (Asphalt 8)

Car Hunt is an event type in Asphalt 8: Airborne introduced in the Golden Season Mini Update.

First generation

Car Hunt has the same overall format as Festivals but has 50 tiers instead of 25 and all tiers in the premium level only have 1 reward. The bonus car is awarded at Tier 50 in the Free Section. This type of event focuses on the resources to upgrade a car, rather than obtaining the car itself.
Cars rewarded in this type of event are the ones that have been featured in past special events, non  Credits purchasable cars, barring a few exceptions, such as new cars that were introduced in the a new update.
In this generation, the amount of Coins the player can get in 1 pack is always 8. However, no vehicle-specific kit cards for the featured car were rewarded.
Prior to the Renault R5 Turbo 3E Car Hunt, the Arash AF8 Falcon Edition Car Hunt (1) and the NIO EP9 Car Hunt (1) are the only Car Hunt events where completing all quests and claiming all daily free coins packs do not guarantee for the player to reach Tier 50 without having to purchase  Car Hunt Coin Packs with microtransaction.

Second generation

Like the previous generation, this type of Car Hunt also has 50 tiers and all tiers in the premium level only have 1 reward. However, the amount of Coins the player can obtain in 1 pack is now random and there is now a dedicated Car Hunt Coins Cup for the featured car, similar to Festival. Also, the rewards in the premium section now include vehicle-specific kit cards for the featured car.
From the Lamborghini Estoque Car Hunt onwards, the free car is now rewarded at Tier 37.
From the Vision 1789 Car Hunt (1) onwards, there is an additional car that is rewarded at Tier 30 of the premium section.

Third generation

The RAESR Tachyon Speed Car Hunt and Renault Sport R.S. 01 Car Hunt introduced a format that follow the same pattern as Festival, which is: 25 tiers of rewards, all tiers in the premium level have 2 rewards, the amount of Coins the player can obtain in 1 pack is random, there is a dedicated Car Hunt Coins Cup and a Car Hunt Kit Cup for the featured car. The featured car is rewarded at Tier 15 of the free section in addition to Tier 1 of the Premium section. The amount of bonus cars are the same as Festival, with 4 and the duration is 10 days. A discount coupon was introduced but only for the RAESR Tachyon Speed Car Hunt and was located at Tier 2 of the Premium section

From the Aston Martin Victor Car Hunt onwards, the duration is now 7 days with 7 days of quests, there is only 1 bonus car, which is located at Tier 25 of the Premium section. There are now 2 Car Hunt Coins Cup, as oppose to 1 in the previous iteration.

From the Bugatti Centodieci Car Hunt onwards, the bonus car is the DS E-TENSE and is now rewarded at Tier 19 of the free section. The discount coupon for the featured car returned but was located at Tier 25 of the Premium section. The Premium Pass's price was increased to $20 as opposed to $10 in previous events

From the Lamborghini Reventón Roadster Car Hunt (2) onwards, the DS E-TENSE is now located at Tier 12 of the free section. The discount coupon is now located at Tier 12 of the premium section
