The Chrysler Firepower is a concept grand tourer based on the Dodge Viper.
Description[]
- Text originally from the Chrysler Firepower's Wikipedia page.
The Chrysler Firepower was a Dodge Viper-based concept car produced in 2005. It takes some of the styling cues from the Chrysler Crossfire. According to Chrysler, its 6.1 L Hemi V8 engine produced 425 hp (317 kW) and could propel the vehicle to a 0-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds. The concept was once featured on the cover of Car and Driver.
Designers responsible for the design were Brian Nielander (exterior), who also worked on the ME-412 concept; and Greg Howell (interior).
Asphalt 8: Airborne[]
Summary[]
The Chrysler Firepower was added in the Wild Cards Update as a high-end Class D car with the following statistics:
- Starting rank: 1125
- PRO rank: 1342 (+217)
- Tuning Kit bonus: +40
- Nitro Efficiency: 6/10.5/15
Performance[]
The Chrysler Firepower has a notably high starting rank and is an impractical choice for usage at stock. By comparison at stock, the Donkervoort D8 GTO has a total top speed of 280.1 kmh/ 173.9 mph at a rank of 1101 whereas the Chrysler Firepower only has a total top speed of 259.9 kmh / 161.4 mph at a rank of 1125.
At PRO, the Chrysler Firepower has very fast acceleration, good handling, excellent nitro efficiency, good top speed, and medium drifting radius, making it a respectable competitor to the DS E-TENSE, and the Subaru Impreza WRX STI.
Usage[]
Even with its acceleration, top speed and nitro efficiency, the Chrysler Firepower is not recommended for multiplayer as it will be put into races with the Donkervoort D8 GTO and Ariel Atom V8, both of which it cannot compete against.
Price[]
The Chrysler Firepower is obtainable by reaching Tier 8 in its Festival. If viewed in the Tag Racing car selection menu, it will show a price of 1,850, however, the option to buy the car is unavailable after the festival is over.
As of the 2020 Halloween Update, the Firepower can be purchased for 370,000.
The Firepower was on sale for a limited-time during the following dates:
- February 12 - 18, 2021: 330,000 (11% off)
The Firepower was obtainable by reaching Tier 50 in the Lamborghini Huracán Car Hunt. Players who already owned the car would get 8x Wild Card - Common instead.
As of the Hot Winter Season Update, upgrades require 55 of each Common Tires, Common Suspension, Common Drivetrain, and Common Exhaust, 160 Chrysler Firepower Kit and 2,000,000.
A bug ocurred between July 10-13, 2020, where its Pro Kits only needed 1 Kit Card for all upgrade levels.
