Introduction

Cross the finish line first!

Asphalt 8 Classic Mode

Gameplay of Classic mode. A Scion FR-S, Dodge Dart GT, and 2015 Ford Mustang are racing in Dubai Reverse.

Classic is a game mode in Asphalt 8: Airborne. It is the first game mode you unlock in the Career mode because you start with a classic race in Nevada.

Overview

Classic is the usual race mode, where the player races against a number of other racers (usually 5 or 7) and tries to cross the finish line first. Classic is the most popular game mode in the Online World Series, and is one of two race modes used in time-limited events, with the other being Infected. Traffic is present whenever the race has 6 racers or less, and is usually disabled when there are 8 racers.

Winning + Stars

Classic events grant 3 stars to the 1st-place racer, 2 stars to the 2nd-place racer, and 1 star to the 3rd-place racer. Additionally, there are two bonus stars. Most are simple, while the rest are difficult to obtain. Races 36 and 39 of Season 8 are notorious for setting up Gate Drift-like objectives in a Classic race, with total drift distances as high as 8500yd and the other objective of No Wrecks.

Achievement

Winning a Classic event for the first time unlocks the Classic Win achievement.
