The Compact Split Box was a Pro Kit Box in Asphalt 8: Airborne introduced in the 2018 Spring Update.
It is one of the few boxes that still grant bike-specific cards and blueprints after the 2019 Spring Update.
Players are presented four card pairs and can choose one card from each pair. This enables them to increase the frequency of a desired card by rejecting the other one.
The box description ("[...] Grants 4 Common cards!") is wrong; the box also grants rare and possibly even legendary cards.
Availability[]
The box can be obtained as a random reward from the milestone version of Daily ads.
It was initially granted for completing a Daily Tasks streak. As of the Fast Lane Update, completing a streak now rewards 100 instead of a box, so the Compact Split Box was practically discontinued as there was no other way to obtain it.
As of the 2019 Halloween Update, the box was reintroduced in the daily ads, replacing the Optimal Split Box during the milestone version:

Hidden rules[]
As the 2019 Halloween Update removed all but Class S blueprints from the game, and as the Lamborghini Huracán is the only remaining Class S car with common blueprints, this means that the box is now guaranteed to grant 2 Huracán blueprints per box.
The first two card pairs now also have no more restriction to common cards. This may be a glitch that probably happened when the developers replaced the second card of the pair (formerly a blueprint) with a non-blueprint card. It is possible that the box now also grants legendary cards if the sample space for the first two pairs also allows engines.
The presented card pairs follow certain rules:
- 50:50 – The first two pairs each grant one Huracán Blueprint and one common or rare Car or Bike Part (perhaps also Tech or Engine); the second two pairs each grant common Car Parts, Bike Parts, Tech or Engines.
- Equal type – Each of the second pairs is either Car Parts, Bike Parts, Tech or Engines.
- Equal class – If one of the second pairs is Car Parts or Bike Parts, they are of equal class.
- Exception – Engine cards can also appear together with Tech or Part cards. They break rule 2.
Analysis[]
Statistics[]
Although a player can only obtain 4 cards from this box, all 8 offered cards were included in the sample, so the sample size for this box shows 256 cards from 32 boxes, instead of the expected 128 cards. This has the advantage that all possible outcomes are included so that the relative frequencies of cards are unbiased and independent from the player's choice.
Tech []
As the hidden rules guarantee that the cards of each pair are of equal type, Early Tech and Initial Tech will always be presented togther. This makes it a good opportunity for players looking for Early or Initial Tech: A player in need of Initial Tech cards can double their current relative frequency of 3.91 % to 7.82 % by always choosing them from the Tech pairs.
