The DS Automobiles E-TENSE is a 2016 concept dual-motor electric sports car made by DS Automobiles marque.
Description[]
The E-Tense was unveiled in 2016 Geneva Motor Show, as an all-electric sports car with dual-motor generating 402 horsepower, 381 lb-ft of torque, all-carbon fiber monocoque chassis, 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 4.5 seconds, and a range of 193 miles, or 224 miles if driven purely in urban range.
At design, it was based on 2015 DS Divine concept car which showcased the future DS Automobiles cars and their design language. It has digital rearview technology instead of rear windscreen. It also has LED taillights and indicators inspired from 1955 DS. Design of it's interior was took 800 hours, in collaboration with Moynat for helmet harness, BRM Chronographes for center-placed timepiece, and Focal for nine-speaker audio system.[1]
The "E-Tense" branding was later used on the marque's hybrid or electric models. Revision of this concept car, DS E-TENSE Performance was debuted in 2022.
Asphalt Legends[]
Named as DS Automobiles DS E-Tense, it appears initially as a low (originally mid) Class D car with the following rank statistics:
The E-Tense requires
20 to unlock and an additional
42 to star up. A total of
603,360, 20 Uncommon Import Parts and 4 Rare Class D Import Parts are required for upgrades.
Performance[]
The DS E-Tense has quick acceleration, responsive handling, and one of the best nitro efficiencies in the entire game, with average top speed being the only drawback. When upgraded, the E-Tense is an excellent option for Class D races. For beginner players, this car is dominant in most situations and, if driven well on the right track, can beat many higher-ranked cars. It is one of the easiest early-game cars to drive. It also has effectively unlimited fuel, with only a 2-minute cooldown that includes time spent loading and racing the last fuel used.
It can compete with the Chevrolet Camaro LT, Dodge Challenger 392 Hemi Scat Pack and Porsche 718 Cayman.
Usage[]
The E-Tense is a very popular choice for multiplayer due to it being very easy to drive and having very good nitro efficiency. It can be competitive in Silver League and even in Gold league as its performance allows it to catch up to higher-ranked Class C and B cars on technical tracks and, if driven properly, it can compete with cars available on higher divisions.
It is also required in ![]()

for Renault DeZir's Showroom event to unlock and max-out the car.
Availability[]
The E-Tense is easy to unlock and max-out. As of Asphalt Legends Unite Expansion Update, within Collector Stage 0, its blueprints can be purchased from Legend Store, in the card packs once the player reached Garage Level 2, in addition to being obtainable in Chapter 1 Career seasons.
Asphalt 8: Airborne[]
The DS E-TENSE was added in the 2020 Spring Update as a high-end Class D car with the following statistics:
- Starting rank: 1125
- This was changed to 1026 in the ? Update
- PRO rank: 1342 (+217)
- This was changed to 1320 in the Hot Winter Season Update
- Tuning Kit bonus: +40
- Nitro Efficiency: 5/10/15
Performance[]
At stock, the DS E-TENSE has slow acceleration, low top speed, weak handling with sluggish responsiveness, an excellent nitro efficiency, and an average drifting radius.
At PRO, the DS E-TENSE has a total top speed of 365.7 km/h / 227.1 mph with a Tuning Kit which is the second highest top speed in Class D, extremely fast acceleration and great nitro duration. However, it suffers from poor handling and drifting and caution is advised in twisty tracks (eg. Azure Coast and Tenerife).
Usage[]
Like every other festival car it is a poor choice for multiplayer at stock due to it's high starting rank, once fully upgraded it can carry a good start making it a decent competitor against the Donkervoort D8 GTO and Ariel Atom V8.
