The Dodge Dart GT is a compact sedan made by Dodge that first appears in Asphalt 8: Airborne. It is commonly used as a starting car in the Asphalt series
Overview
The Dodge Dart GT is the sporty version of the regular Dodge Dart. The Dart is a compact sedan manufactured by Dodge, based on an enlarged Fiat Compact platform and debuted at the 2012 North American International Auto Show on January 9, 2012. The Dodge Dart is Dodge's first compact sedan since the discontinuation of the Dodge Neon and Dodge Neon SRT-4 in 2005.
Asphalt 8: Airborne
Summary
The Dodge Dart GT is both the first car in Class D and the first car in the entire game. It is one of three Dodge vehicles in the game. To its right is the first purchasable car, the Audi R8 e-tron. The Dodge Dart GT is given to the player for free; it is used in the first stages of Career Mode to obtain the player's first credits to buy other cars.
The Dodge Dart GT has a starting rank of 505, a MAX rank of 778, a PRO rank of 529, and a final rank of 802. The Dodge Dart GT is the first car the player ever performs a PRO upgrade on, as a free/mandatory PRO tires upgrade is provided. As such, for new players after the Winter Update (2014), the Dodge Dart GT's true default rank is 515. The Dodge Dart GT has a Tuning Kit bonus of +65.
Performance
The Dodge Dart GT is one of the worst vehicles in the game. The Dodge Dart GT has a low top speed, low nitro power and low nitro efficiency (10/15/20) compared to other cars. Its only benefit is its handling, besides its low rank. The Dodge Dart GT's final raw top speed (without a Tuning Kit) is higher than only the Audi R8 e-tron, Ford F-150 and Renault DeZir.
Compared to the Audi R8 e-tron and Tesla Model S (past those two there is little comparison), the Dodge Dart GT has inferior total top speed, acceleration and nitro efficiency. Its advantage ocer the Tesla Model S is just handling, while it has both better handling and raw top speed when compared to the Audi R8 e-tron. The MAX/PRO Dodge Dart is only able to beat the MAX/PRO Tesla Model S if it crashes into walls too often, and is only able to beat the Audi R8 e-tron if it runs out of nitro.
Usage
The Dodge Dart GT is the tutorial car, making it invaluable for initial game progress. However, the Dodge Dart GT is poorly built for Multiplayer and Time-Limited Events. It can compete decently in Multiplayer at the default rank, but it can fall prey to default Renault DeZirs, and a few other higher level cars with low starting ranks.
In order to keep the Dodge Dart GT's rank low, the player probably needs to buy the Audi R8 e-tron and upgrade it instead.
Price
The Dodge Dart GT costs 125,600 to MAX and 1,200 to PRO. Its free tires upgrade uses four common cards while its other three PRO upgrades each use only one card.
