During the race, after 15 seconds from the beginning of the race, anyone who is in last place becomes <font color="red">'''eliminated'''</font> every 20~30 seconds. With the exception of a few events in Career Mode, all Elimination events have 8 racers, have no traffic, and will generally last between 175 and 210 seconds, provided the player wins in either 2nd or 1st place. In the Metal events exclusive to iOS 8 devices, the elimination period lasts 10 seconds instead, but the warm up time is still the same as standard 8 players.

Overview

Asphalt 8 Elimination gameplay

Gameplay of Elimination mode in Asphalt 8: Airborne. A Koenigsegg Agera R drives in 1st place through Tokyo.

During the race, after a certain amount of time from the beginning of the race, anyone who is in last place becomes eliminated every 10~60 seconds. The process repeats until only one racer is left standing.

Asphalt Urban GT 2

In Elimination, a racer in last place is eliminated every time the player passes through a checkpoint. These checkpoints are placed along specific points in the track, and there is usually 3 of them on a track. These races can be played in both Evolution and Arcade.

Asphalt 7: Heat

Elimination is a playable mode and is first introduced to the player in the first Career Cup, occurring in the form of a race in London. Traffic is normally present. In terms of elimination period, it normally takes one whole minute (60 seconds) in order for the last place racer to be eliminated, allowing the player more time to get out of last place if they make a mistake.

Should the player be eliminated, the race immediately ends, unlike in later games, which show the player's car wrecking (except in 3rd or 2nd), their final standing in the race, and the amount of Credits they have earned.

Asphalt 8: Airborne

All Elimination events generally have 8 racers, have no traffic, and will generally last between 190 and 225 seconds, provided the player wins in either 2nd or 1st place. The warm-up time generally lasts 15 seconds and the elimination period usually lasts 15~30 seconds. In the Exclusive Metal Events, the elimination period lasts 10 seconds due to the huge number of racers (24), but the warm up time is still the same as standard 8 players. The maximum length of any Elimination event in the Exclusive Metal Events is 245 seconds. The elimination period will vary in Research & Development and Enduro Double Down, even lasting as short as 12 seconds.

Elimination Mode Info
