Asphalt Xtreme[]
Summary[]
Named as the Equus 2017 Bass 770, it appears as a Class S Muscle car that was introduced in the Black Market Update. Being the 5th car with its own Special Project, it was eventually made available in high-end boxes, as well as limited-time boxes. The Bass 770 is depicted with modified headlights, a modified engine accompanied with a custom hood, light bar mounts, a spare tire on the rear window, and a raised ride height.
The Bass requires 30 Blueprints to unlock, and has a starting Level of 30. Oil changes take 3 hours to complete, and cost 275.
Performance[]
The Bass 770 is a contender of one of the best muscle cars in the game. Like the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Touring Car 2016, it has very good handling and acceleration for its archetype, although not as great compared to the C 63. The Bass 770 has a very high top speed, one of the highest in its archetype, which can be boosted even further with the use of an Extra Tank It also has the longest nitro duration of its archetype by a noticeable margin. Unlike the C 63, the Bass 770 greatly benefits from drift-boosting at ramps, as it is able to gain a decent amount of airspeed to make the maneuver worthwhile to perform. Drift-boosting around corners is not quite as effective as the C 63 however, as its longer nitro means that there is more time is spent at level 1 nitro before level 2 can be activated.
At level 50, the Bass 770 competes with the C 63 for being the best muscle car in the game. While the advantages the Bass has over the C 63 can outshine it on tracks like Buried Ship and Dry Plains, the C 63 equally can best the Bass on tracks with harsh corners (Racing Blast) or on tracks where it is possible to knock down an opponent at the start with the C 63, but is very difficult with the Bass (Desert Dash and Mountain Village). With the Bass's acceleration and nitro duration, it is possible to knock down slow accelerating muscle cars, SUVs, rally cars like the Subaru WRX STI GRC and Volkswagen Beetle GRC, and sometimes select pickups, albeit not as reliably as the C 63. Once top speed is achieved and maintained, the Bass 770 can pull away from any muscle car, and almost all rally cars that are using only long nitro. Its airspeed potential also makes the Bass viable pn more tracks. Its longer nitro duration means that while using all-in nitro frequently is still not recommended, it can occasionally be used with certain jumps to cover ground quicker. Despite these advantages, the Bass can still be outpaced on every track by other archetypes.
Speed Modifier Approximation[]
* when using the Land Rover Defender as 100 % benchmark
The Bass' long nitro top speed is excellent for its archetype, and is even better with Extra Tank, although the C 63 does have higher all-in speed due to its higher nitro speed stat. Although the long nitro speed is not near the all-in speed of the Mini All4Racing X-Raid, it is high enough where constantly using long nitro and gaining airspeed can sometimes beat rally cars going at all-in speeds due to it not always being active. While not the king at any track, the Bass can hold its own in Multiplayer, although its acceleration means that C 63 drivers can get the upper hand at starts.
Despite all of the Bass' praises, it isn't particularly useful in time-limited events, and it isn't the very best option in multiplayer. The only real reason to upgrade the Bass to level 50 is because of it being one of the best muscle cars in the game, but it is not as useful as maxing out the C 63. It does not require rank up tools, but Bass 770 Blueprints and Class-S tools are harder to come by.
Upgrades cost 1,638,000 or 2,234, 109 blueprints, and 125 Class S-Tools.
