The Ferrari 458 Spider is the convertible version of the Ferrari 458 Italia.
Overview[]
The 458 Spider was introduced at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. This convertible variant of the 458 Italia features an aluminium retractable hardtop which, according to Ferrari, weighs 25 kilograms (55 lb) less than a soft roof such as the one found on the Ferrari F430 Spider, and requires 14 seconds for operation. The engine cover has been redesigned to accommodate the retractable roof system. It has the same 0–100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration time as the coupé but has a lower top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph) due to the added weight.
Asphalt 7: Heat[]
The 458 Spider appears as a Tier 6 car in Asphalt 7. The car performs very poorly in relation to its tier placement, as it is slower than the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, the starter car of Tier 6, in every category including top speed, acceleration, and nitro speed. The only advantage it has over the ZR1 is its nitro efficiency, but even then, its nitro efficiency at 1.25% is only average at best. It is thus outclassed by a large variety of Tier 6 and even some Tier 5 vehicles, and struggles to compete with them; for example, it is worse than the McLaren MP4-12C, as well as its hardtop version found in Tier 5, in every statistic, including nitro efficiency.
Overall, the 458 is considered one of the worst Tier 6 cars and one of the least useful cars in the game as it fails to compete effectively with any car other than itself in its tier.
