The Ferrari F12berlinetta is a V12-engined grand tourer by Ferrari that serves as the successor to the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. In 2017, it was succeeded by the Ferrari 812 Superfast.
Description[]
The Ferrari F12berlinetta uses a 6.3 L (6,262 cc) naturally aspirated 65° Ferrari F140 V12 engine, codenamed F140 FC. The F140 FC produces 730 hp (544 kW) at 8,250 rpm and 509 ft·lb (690 N·m) at 6,000 rpm, making it the third most powerful front-engined Ferrari to date, behind the F12tdf and 812 Superfast. The F12berlinetta's engine has been designed to be more efficient than that of the 599, with the engine management system fitted with Ferrari's HELE start-stop system to reduce fuel consumption when idling. This engine was later modified for use in the Apollo Intensa Emozione hypercar.
The Ferrari F12berlinetta uses a 7-speed dual-clutch automated semi-automatic gearbox with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel. To match the engine's power, the F12berlinetta uses shortened gear ratios.
The F12berlinetta makes use of aerodynamic techniques based on Ferrari's 599XX and Formula One programmes, developed with wind tunnel and CFD testing. A notable feature is the Aero Bridge, which is an air channel that runs from the bonnet, through the flanks and along the sides of the vehicle, creating an effect that increases downforce. Another feature is Active Brake Cooling ducts, which open to direct cooling air only when the brakes heat up, keeping them closed at other times to reduce aerodynamic drag. The F12berlinetta produces 271 lb (123 kg) of downforce at 124 mph (200 km/h) and has a drag coefficient of 0.299.
The Ferrari F12berlinetta can do 0 - 60 mph/97 km/h in 3 seconds, 0 - 124 mph/200 km/h in 8.5 seconds, and a top speed of 211 mph (340 km/h).
The body of the F12berlinetta was designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre and Pininfarina, and shares some styling elements with other recent Ferrari models. This includes a front grille similar to the FF and headlights shared with the FF and 458 Italia. The interior, based on the FF, features new "Frau leather" upholstery with aluminium, Alutex, and carbon fiber trim, and has increased luggage space compared to the 599.
Asphalt Nitro[]
The Ferrari F12berlinetta behaves like its Asphalt 8: Airborne rendition but is now a Class B car.
Asphalt Overdrive[]
The Ferrari F12berlinetta appears as a mid Turf 4 car. It was only obtainable from an event and has a x1.5 bonus for jump scores.
Asphalt 8: Airborne[]
The Ferrari F12berlinetta first appeared as a mid Class A car with the following statistics:
- Starting rank: 1448
- MAX rank: 1578 (+130)
- This was removed in the Gangstar Season Update
- MAX+PRO rank: 1643 (+65)
- This was changed to 1680 in the 2023 Spring Update.
- Tuning Kit bonus: +33
- This was changed to +50 in the 2023 Spring Update.
- Nitro Efficiency: 7/12/17
Between the Fifteenth Anniversary Update and Garage Life Season Update, the F12berlinetta was a mid Class B car. As of the 2023 Spring Update, it is now a high Class B car.
Performance[]
The Ferrari F12berlinetta's acceleration can be described as above-average; while it has a high nitro stat, its weight hinders it from accelerating as quickly as most other cars with similar nitro stats. The car's handling capabilities are also above-average. On the flip side, the F12berlinetta's top speed is below-average, even lower than that of the Spada Codatronca TSS due to having only 4 Pro Kit Levels instead of 5.
Price[]
As of the Fifteenth Anniversary Update, the Ferrari F12berlinetta costs 870,000 to purchase (originally 125,000, then 125,000 or 2,200).
Between the Gangstar Season Update and the 2023 Holiday Update, upgrades require 55 each of Rare Tires, Rare Suspension, Rare Drivetrain, and Rare Exhaust, 60 Rare Tech, 60 Rare Engine, 160 Ferrari F12berlinetta Kit and 8,000,000.
During the 2024 Spring Update, upgrades require 45 each of Rare Tires, Rare Suspension, Rare Drivetrain, and Rare Exhaust, 20 Rare Tech, 20 Rare Engine, 160 Ferrari F12berlinetta Kit and 8,000,000.
As of the Mercedes Season Update, upgrades require 40 each of Rare Tires, Rare Suspension, Rare Drivetrain, and Rare Exhaust, 160 Ferrari F12berlinetta Kit and 7,000,000.
The Ferrari F12berlinetta was obtainable by reaching Tier 25 with the premium upgrade in the Chrysler ME412 Car Hunt. Players who already owned the car would get 15x Wild Card - Rare instead.
Given its inferior performance to the Pagani Zonda R (in handling-intense tracks) and Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, the F12berlinetta isn't overly useful, although it can be used for farming Credits in Car Mastery if the player doesn't have the Lamborghini Veneno yet.
Asphalt 7: Heat[]
The Ferrari F12berlinetta was added in the last update of the game as a special event car.
