Trivia[]
- This update marks the trend of posting events that are only available within the first Season Pass in the official patch notes on the website. In this case, only events within the Festive Fury Season were mentioned.
- Patch notes for the Year of the Snake Season were eventually posted on January 7, 2025.
- The unofficial name of this update is "Festive Fury and Year of the Snake Update".
- Prior to the update, the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years was found in promotional materials such as Porsche Turbo Series Qualifier TLE banner and Google Play Store Event banner.[3]
- Just like the Zenvo Aurora Tur, a car that was added in West to East & Eurobloom Update in April 2024, after the Snapdragon Pro Series Season 4 Part II Open Finals in February 2024 where Zenvo was partnered in, the 911 Turbo 50 years was added after the Porsche Turbo Series Qualifier TLE that took place in the previous update.
- The Pininfarina Teorema and the RAESR Tartarus are the fourth and fifth ever cars after the Vision 1789, the Inferno Automobili Settimo Cerchio and the Lotus E-R9 in A9/ALU to only exist in 3D models/blueprints created by the car manufacturer and to not have a real-life counterpart (i.e., a prototype/a real-life concept showcase model).
- The RAESR Tartarus is the first ever car to be used as a Drive Syndicate main car whose existence is as stated above.
- In the early patch notes unveiled by creators, the Tartarus appeared with Michelin Pilot Sport tires, but after the release of the update, it was depicted with fictitious Yomishiri Gripmotion tires, as Michelin might not allow the car to have Pilot Sport tires in the game.
- The RAESR Tartarus is the first ever car to be used as a Drive Syndicate main car whose existence is as stated above.
- For the first time since Full Throttle Update in 2020, a map based in the United States was added.
- Just like the Winterfest Update in 2022, 8 cars were added, but only 7 of them were released.
- With the DS Automobiles E-Tense Performance being added in this update, this marks the seventh consecutive time a car from the Chinese version was later added in the global version/Asphalt Legends Unite.
- Certain emojis added in this update refer to certain memes, such as:
- "Salt-Bae": based on the nickname of Turkish chef Nusret Gökçe, who went viral in 2017 for his technique for preparing and seasoning meat.[4]
- "This is Fine": based on the webcomic Gunshow's 2013 strip, "On Fire" in which the dog dubbed as "Question Hound" drinking tea inside of a burning room and saying "This is Fine".[5]
- "Mogging": based on a slang term of being superior in physical appearance or overall attractiveness than others.[6] It also serves as a counterpart for "Mewing" emoji that was added in previous update.
- "Thousand yard stare": Characterized by American artist Thomas Lea's painting of an American solider during World War II experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Where it was memed to describe trauma.[7]
- "Nerd": also based on (especially the duck teeth) the 2019 Shutterstock stock image of a non-unicode Nerd emoji, which is heavily associated with memes.[8]
- The Jaguar XKR-S GT is the first car to be added to the game after being featured in 2024 Community Choice Car Poll, where it placed 20th (last place) with 4367 votes in the First Round's Class C category.[9]
