Game Changes
Gameplay Changes
- New Mode: Gauntlet
- The exclusive vehicles during October 16 - 29, 2020 are now permanently available in the Garage with their same
Fusion Coin Prices during the mentioned sale.
- In the Daily Tasks menu, Gauntlet races can now be randomly selected for tasks that have traditionally been assigned to Multiplayer (Multiplayer League). As such, both Gauntlet and Multiplayer League tasks can show up in this section. Generally speaking, it is preferable to have Multiplayer League tasks rather than Gauntlet, due to the limitations of tickets in Gauntlet (Multiplayer League tickets are essentially infinite).
- Festivals now also have Gauntlet-specific quests.
- Upon the launch of the update, vehicle-specific cards for the Bugatti Chiron, Mazzanti Evantra Millecavalli and Chevrolet Corvette Stingray were made available for Wild Card (Optimal, Superb) conversion.
- At some point between November 9 and November 12, vehicle-specific cards for the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 were made available for Wild Card (Prime) conversion.
- On December 9, vehicle-specific cards for the Morgan Aero GT and Jaguar XKR-S GT were made available for Wild Card (Optimal) conversion.
- Gauntlet Tickets (Golden) can now be won from certain TLEs (Multiplayer TLEs) and Daily Ads (1 ticket per week-long ad cycle).
- The performance statistics of the Rimac Nevera were buffed on December 9th.
- + rank increased from S1840 to S1860
- Fully upgraded top speed has been increased from 439.0 km/h to 443.8 km/h
- Fully upgraded nitro speed has been increased from 48.8 km/h to 49.3 km/h
- Fully upgraded acceleration has been improved
- This buff was preemptive for the BMW M4 GTS Festival, which has it as a Premium reward.
- On December 17, the permanent 7-day booster bundle (Nitro Starter, Tuning Kit and Extra Tank) was transferred from the Bundles section to the Offers section in the main game menu. The bundle retains the same price and contents.
Cosmetic Changes
- Gauntlet mode is now visible in the game mode menu. The Multiplayer League access button has been halved in size, with the Gauntlet access button taking up the remaining space. Gauntlet is placed above Multiplayer League. Both game mode buttons are placed along the left third of the screen.
- In Gauntlet mode, when retrying a "defense" race (home run), the retry button has a ticket symbol on it, indicating that a ticket will be consumed when doing so.
- Transylvania was reskinned to night-time for certain TLEs related to the Halloween Festival.
- Tokyo, Transylvania and Area 51 were littered with pumpkins (city havoc) for certain TLEs related to the Halloween Festival and the McLaren-exclusive car sale.
- Since December 14; Iceland, Tokyo and the Alps are decorated with Christmas scenery objects until February 2021.

Bugs / Glitches
- Gauntlet Mode Bugs: When challenging opponent's time, the time to beat and the track doesn't match. This seems to be because opponent's ghost is driving another track rather than the track that player is driving.
- It is also possible for the game to give the player a second home track to set a time on immediately after a time has been set on the first track. The second track will have the first track's time and ghost to be beaten.
- These bugs have been fixed as of 9 November 2020.

- Memory access issues: Due to the game's increased use of video memory, players running the game on Windows with an integrated graphics card are extremely likely to experience memory access violations when loading a race, which results in a crash. Players on other platforms also report an increased likelihood of crashes after the Gameloft 20th Anniversary splash screen is shown. Windows users who have a dedicated graphics card (e.g. any Nvidia or AMD graphics card) may be able to work around this problem by changing the Graphics Adapter used by the game in the Sound & Display settings menu.
- Missing Festival Coins: Numerous players reported that the coins earned from a Festival Coins Cup on November 1, 2020 for the 2020 Halloween Festival were not being counted on November 4, 2020 onwards.
- This was fixed on November 6 with 300 coins being given as compensation and the items from the missing tiers being claimable for a second time.[1]

- The Golden Gauntlet Ticket rewards for the Multiplayer Cup during November 7 - 8, 2020 were not awarded. On November 10, the undelivered Tickets were awarded along with a compensation of 36,000.
- Shop access bug: Some players have reported that in-game purchases have been disabled completely. (Android, Windows)
- Workaround: Changing language option to English and restarting the game may solve this issue.
- This bug seems to be fixed on November 26.
- On Windows, there are no weather effects on the screen when racing. For example, rainy tracks such as Tokyo doesn't show any rain drops while snowy tracks such as Alps doesn't show any snow effects on the screen at all.
- This was fixed in the 2021 Lunar New Year Update.
- Some players can't race against other opponents when they want to compete in Gauntlet mode. It shows a grey loading circle and doesn't respond either temporary or until the Gauntlet season is over.
Compensation for the inconvenience in Tokens cup
- Tokens Cup on December 12, 2020 ended after a day instead of 2 days, even though the remaining duration in the weekly calendar was unchanged. On the other hand, 10,000 was awarded for finishing the race instead of 10,000. However, players received 20,000 as a compensation for the inconvenience.

Xbox Live will be no longer supported
- This update is the last for Windows and Xbox players to login to Xbox Live. It will be mandatory for players to login to Facebook in order to continue playing with their saved data from the next update onwards.
- However, the next update seemingly retained the ability to sync/login by using Microsoft account instead of Xbox Live; both services typically uses the same login.
Windows 8.x discontinued
- Windows/Windows Phone 8.x will no longer be supported in the next update. Windows players using Windows 8.x are requested to upgrade their device before the next update to continue playing.
