The Finish Line Box is a Pro Kit Box in Asphalt 8: Airborne. Introduced with the Fast Lane Update, it is rewarded for finishing highlighted races. It is special in several ways because it has extraordinarily high drop rates of legendary items and engines while it drops no blueprints at all. It is so far the only known box to grant the newly-introduced V12 MPI and i3 Engine cards.

Availability

Finish Line Box Race Mode 1

Race modes that reward Finish Line Boxes are marked with a small icon. So far the Finish Line Box has only been granted for finishing multiplayer races. Upon its introduction, the amount of boxes a player could get was 3 per day. After the end of the Spring Fling 3 Multiplayer Season, players only got 1 or 2 boxes instead of 3.[1] This turned out to be dependent on a player's VIP level:[2]

  • VIP level 0: 1 box
  • VIP level 1–10: 2 boxes
  • Maybe a higher VIP level will grant 3 boxes per day.

The loading screens of races granting Finish line boxes show an additional banner at the top. If a player has got all 2 boxes of a day, a timer is shown. Contrary to the Daily Kit Box Daily Kit Box †, the timer counts down to 0:00 player's local time, so players can get 2 boxes per day no matter if they log in early or late.

The drop rate of engines in relation to other cards is by far the highest of all common boxes in the game.

Players looking for V8 engines, however, should consider opening other boxes first. The Finish Line Box grants less V8 engines due to its low drop rate of common items.

Tech

Following an official 2019 Spring Update announcement,[3], the Finish Line Box does not contain bike tech any more.

Parts

The 2019 Spring Update has also changed the box's high drop rate of bike parts to zero (previously 25 to 30 %).
