The 2017 Ford GT (2nd Gen) is a mid-engined supercar that appears in Asphalt Street Storm Racing, Asphalt 9: Legends and Asphalt 8: Airborne.
Description
Unveiled at the 2015 North American International Auto Show alongside the 2015 Xbox One racing game Forza Motorsport 6, the second generation Ford GT was put into production in late 2016. It marks 50 years since the famed Ford GT40 won the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans and later run successfully in the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans to mark the anniversary, winning the GTE class.
The GT's engine largely differs from the previous generation, being a 3.5 L (3,495 cc; 213.3 cu in) twin-turbocharged Ford EcoBoost V6 engine which was initially stated to make over 600 hp (447 kW). The engine was later confirmed to make 647 hp (482 kW) and 550 ft·lb (746 N·m) of torque. All power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed PowerShift dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Ford claimed that the GT would "exhibit one of the best power-to-weight ratios of any production car", constructing the GT with a lightweight carbon fiber chassis. Underpinning the GT is a carbon fibermonocoque bolted to aluminum front and rear subframes covered in carbon fiber body panels. The car also has racing inspired pushrod suspension, active aerodynamics, and dihedral doors. The windshield of the vehicle is made of Gorilla Glass manufactured by Corning, which is also used for smartphone screens. Gorilla Glass is used to reduce the weight of the vehicle by allowing for a thinner windscreen with the same strength. The result is a dry weight of 3054 lb (1385 kg) and a curb weight of 3354 lb (1521 kg), resulting in a power-to-weight ratio of 425 hp (317 kW) per tonne under the 3354 lb (1521 kg) curb weight or 467 hp (348 kW) per tonne under the 3054 lb (1385 kg) dry weight.
Known for being Ford's fastest production car in existence, the GT has a recorded top speed of 216 mph (348 km/h) and accelerates from a standstill to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 2.9 seconds and 100 mph (161 km/h) in 5.5 seconds.
Asphalt Street Storm Racing
The Ford GT appears as a Class S car. It can only be obtained from Gift Boxes.

Asphalt 9: Legends
The Ford GT appears as a mid Class B car with the following rank statistics:
- Starting rank: 1,685 (35 BPs)
- 1* rank: 1,891
- 2* rank: 2,216 (15 BPs)
- 3* rank: 2,535 (24 BPs)
- 4* rank: 2,816 (36 BPs)
A total of 3,736,720, 24 Common Import Parts, 16 Class Parts, and 8 car specific parts are required for upgrades.
Usage
The Ford GT's main strength is its high top speed for its class, average acceleration, and powerful nitro with decent efficiency. The GT is highly suitable for tracks with long stretches of straight road like Cairo or Shanghai.
However, the Ford GT suffers from abysmal handling (among the worst in the game) and a wide drift radius, causing it to lose a lot of speed when drifting and will struggle on technical tracks like Rome or San Francisco.
The Ford GT's main rivals are the Aston Martin Vulcan, Cadillac Cien Concept, and Ferrari F12tdf.
