The Ford GT Mk IV is the final variant of the second-generation Ford GT, and the second track-only version after the Ford GT Mk II.
Description[]
The Ford GT Mk IV debuted as the send-off variant of the Ford GT that was produced between 2017 and 2022, by Multimatic, technical partners with Ford, in Toronto, Canada. As the second track-day variant after the Ford GT Mk IV, it features longer wheelbase, larger 3.8L twin-turbocharged Ford EcoBoost V6 engine producing 820 hp, 7-speed X-Trac sequential racing gearbox, Bosch motorsport TCS and ABS and Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve (ASV) race suspension system. It generates 1,088 kg of downforce at 150 mph and 2,045 kg at 200 mph, and weighting around 1.250 kg.
As the name refers, it pays tribute to the original Ford GT40 Mk IV, the winner for the 1967 season Le Mans race, which featured significant ground-up changes.
Only 67 examples of GT Mk IV were produced, the "67" refers the last 2 digits of the year 1967 which the original GT40 Mk IV competed in. All were assembled by Multimatic.[1]
