Asphalt Xtreme[]
Overview[]
The H&H Bulldog Extreme 4x4 is a low Class-C Truck that is part of the original lineup of vehicles.
The in-game depiction of the Bulldog does not deviate from it's real life counterpart, it retains it's fire-truck utilities, such as it's water tank, hose, and sirens, although they are for purely cosmetic purposes. It also has a fire-brigade decal to reflect it's real life usage.
The Bulldog requires
10 to unlock and has a starting rank of level 5. Oil changes cost
250 to perform, and take 14 minutes to refill.
Performance[]
The Bulldog's acceleration is incredibly slow, worsened further by the worst all-in nitro power in it's archetype. while drift-boosting does help with the acceleration and can gain some airspeed, the Bulldog will noticeably struggle to climb to it's top speed compared to the other trucks. The Bulldog's handling is responsive and quite drifty, but much like most of the other trucks, it's turning radius is not great overall. The Bulldog does have the potential to posses one of the highest all-in top speeds in it's archetype, which allows it to distance itself on flat long straights with no high-arched ramps present.
Being a Class-C car, the Bulldog's highest rank without using rank up tools is LVL20. At this rank the H&H is serviceable, but mostly unremarkable. When on tracks that don't favor any archetype, the H&H will usually be beaten by quicker cars like the Mini All4Racing X-Raid and the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Touring Car 2016. This is especially true for multiplayer, as the H&H's horrible acceleration means that it will almost always be behind at the start of races, and may have it's run completely killed if a player ahead is smart enough to break obstacles that help refill the Bulldog's nitro.
At Level 50, the Bulldog serves a niche of being a truck suited to straight-line speed oriented tracks, especially with downhill slopes at the start. Tracks such as High Altitude, or Off-Piste Race help reduce the severity of the worst-in-class acceleration, and the Bulldog's high all-in top speed can be taken advantage of. As a result, the H&H can be in the top 3 fastest trucks on some tracks, as well as being faster than most other vehicles. On the flip-side, if the track is twistier, or has a lot of ramps that demand high nitro power (i.e Emerald Forest), then the H&H is completely overshadowed by the Unimog U 4023's far superior acceleration and air speed potential, in addition to more suited archetypes. Like the other trucks in the game, the Bulldog can be viable for multiplayer at this rank, as long as the track it races on favors its archetype, and that no other trucks are ahead of the player at all times. Due to it's smaller size in relation to other trucks, the H&H doesn't suffer from "clipping" issues as often as the longer trucks do, and can get around Gobi easier than most of the other trucks.
The displayed and approximate fake speed of the Level 50 H&H Bulldog Extreme 4X4 are:
(Speed Modifier is ~103% when using the Land Rover Defender as a benchmark.)
- Top Speed w/o boost: 133.1 mph (~137.093 mph)
- Top Speed w/ Level 1 long nitro: 150 mph (~154.5 mph)
- Top Speed w/ Level 2 long nitro: 157 mph (~161.7 mph)
- Top Speed w/ Level 3 long nitro: 167.3 mph (~172.3 mph)
- Top Speed w/ Level 4 ET long nitro: 171 mph (~176.1 mph)
- Top Speed w/ All-in nitro: 179 mph (~184.4 mph)
- Top Speed w/ All-in nitro & ET: 185 mph (~190.6 mph)
- Max Air Speed: 204 mph (~210.1 mph)
- Max Air Speed w/ ET: 208 mph (214.2 mph)
With it's all-in nitro speed being 2nd highest in it's archetype, the Bulldog can out-drag a good amount of cars without considering the fact that it can break shortcuts. Ultimately however, the Perlini 105F Red Tiger still remains as the fastest non-boosted truck with all-in nitro. Like with all trucks, extra tank take off 1-2 seconds from runs when used properly, and while this may make the H&H faster any more trucks, it does make it faster than vehicles outside it's archetype. In terms of time-limited events, the Bulldog is available for use for most championships and warm-ups, and can be a decent substitute if the Perlini is not accessible to the player. If the Perlini is not available for the player, upgrading either the MAN TGX D38 or U 4023 will help take over tracks where the H&H is not as fast as the other aforementioned trucks.
Overall, while not being an all-round performing truck, and sometimes being below-average, the level 50 H&H Bulldog Extreme 4X4 can serve a purpose in both multiplayer and time-limited events if there are no better options are present to the player, and is the least glitchy in terms of physics collisions.
