The Hennessey Venom GT is a limited-production supercar made by Hennessey Performance and built on a heavily-modified Lotus Exige chassis. It served one purpose: to break the world record for the highest speed in any regular land vehicle (270.49 mph / 435.31 km/h).

The Hennessey Venom GT's chassis is a heavily modified version of the Lotus Exige's chassis. Hennessey claims that the chassis uses components from the Exige, including the roof, doors, side glass, windscreen, cockpit, floorpan, HVAC system, wiper, and headlights. Hennessey and the Venom GT are not affiliated with Lotus Cars.

The Hennessey Venom GT first appeared in the June 2014 update of the game. Prior to the Hennessey Venom GT Cup, the Venom GT first appeared as an AI racer in the Independence Day Cup and Class S Cup (set in The London Eye). It is currently available in the garage.

The Venom GT uses carbon fiber bodywork and carbon fiber wheels, along with Brembo six-piston brake calipers in the front and four-piston brake calipers in the rear.
The Hennessey Venom GT is the third most powerful car in the game, placed at the highest end of Class S. It has a starting rank of 1555, a maximum rank of 1674 (shared with the SSC Ultimate Aero XT), and a final rank of 1702 (if maxed and with a Tuning Kit). The Venom GT is one of the fastest vehicles in the entire game, alongside the SSC Ultimate Aero XT and Koenigsegg One:1. Handling is also very decent. However, it accelerates a little slower than the Ultimate Aero XT due to a weaker nitro boost.

  +
The Venom GT uses a twin-turbocharged 7.0L (7,011 cc) GM LSX engine that is sometimes incorrectly thought to be a variation of the GM LS7 engine with which it shares some similarities. The engine produces 1244 at 6,600 rpm and 1155 at 4,400 rpm. The mid-mounted V8 is mated to the rear wheels with a Ricardo 6-speed manual transmission, the same one used in the Ford GT.
The Hennessey Venom GT is the most expensive vehicle available for purchase by credits, costing <font color="red">3,000,000 (!!!) Credits</font> (same as the One:1). It costs 2,474,350 Credits to max out.

  +
On January 21, 2013, the Venom GT set a Guinness World Record for the fastest production car from 0-186 mph (0-300 km/h) with an average acceleration time of 13.63 seconds. In addition, the car set an unofficial record for 0-200 mph (0-322 km/h) acceleration at 14.51 seconds, beating the Koenigsegg Agera R's time of 17.68 seconds, making it the unofficial fastest accelerating production car in the world.
As of the San Diego Harbor update, the Hennessey Venom GT has its own event in Season 6. This is the singular most expensive event ouside of Season 9, requiring 3,000,000 Credits to participate for the first time (if the player doesn't have the car already).

  +
On April 3, 2013, the Venom GT hit 265.7 mph (427.6 km/h) over the course of 2 miles (3.2 km) during testing at the United States Naval Air Station Lemoore in Lemoore, California. Hennessey used two VBOX 3i data logging systems to document the run, with VBOX officials on hand to verify the numbers.

The Hennessey Venom GT is a Lotus Exige-based hypercar created by Texas-based Hennessey Performance Engineering. It is known for being one of the fastest production cars in the world.

Description

Text originally from the Hennessey Venom GT's Wikipedia page.

The Venom GT uses carbon fiber bodywork and carbon fiber wheels, along with Brembo six-piston brake calipers in the front and four-piston brake calipers in the rear.

The Venom GT uses a twin-turbocharged 7.0L (7,011 cc) GM LSX engine that is sometimes incorrectly thought to be a variation of the GM LS7 engine with which it shares some similarities. The engine produces 1244 hp (928 kW) at 6,600 rpm and 1155 ft·lb (1566 N·m) at 4,400 rpm. The mid-mounted V8 is mated to the rear wheels with a Ricardo 6-speed manual transmission, the same one used in the Ford GT.

On February 14, 2014, on the Kennedy Space Center's 3.2 mi (5.2 km) shuttle landing strip in Florida, the Venom GT was recorded as doing a top speed of 270.49 mph (435.31 km/h), but in only a single direction. As the run was done in only one direction and only 16 Venom GTs have been sold to date, it does not officially qualify as the world's fastest production car in the Guinness Book of Records.
