Revision as of 16:06, 10 June 2015
The Hennessey Venom GT is among one of the fastest vehicles in the Asphalt series.
Overview
The Hennessey Venom GT is a limited-production supercar made by Hennessey Performance and built on a heavily-modified Lotus Exige chassis. It served one purpose: to break the world record for the highest speed in any regular production land vehicle (270.49 mph / 435.49 km/h). Unfortunately, it did not make the record in 2013 as the run was done in a single direction and only 29 Venom GTs were produced.
Asphalt 8: Airborne
The Hennessey Venom GT first appeared in the June 2014 update of the game. Prior to the Hennessey Venom GT Cup, the Venom GT first appeared as an AI racer in the Independence Day Cup (set in Nevada) and Class S Cup (set in The London Eye). Since the completion of the first Hennessey Venom GT Cup, it is currently available in the garage.
The Hennessey Venom GT is the fourth most powerful car in the game, placed at the highest end of Class S. It has a starting rank of 1555 (third highest of any car in the game, behind the SSC Tuatara's 1561 and the Koenigsegg One:1's 1562), a maximum rank of 1674 (shared with the SSC Ultimate Aero XT), and a final rank of 1751 (also shared with the SSC Ultimate Aero XT). The Venom GT has the highest top speed of any vehicle in the game. Handling is also very decent. However, it accelerates a little slower than the Ultimate Aero XT due to a weaker nitro boost. It still has a decent nitro efficiency, though, but not the best. As a result of having a slightly higher starting rank than the SSC Ultimate Aero XT, the Hennessey Venom GT gains 27 bonus rank points with a Tuning Kit as opposed to the Ultimate Aero XT's 29.
The Hennessey Venom GT is the third most expensive vehicle available for purchase by credits, costing 2,250,000, only three-fourths of the Koenigsegg One:1's 3,000,000. Prior to the Winter update, the Venom GT was priced the same as the One:1. It costs 2,474,350 to max out, as expected for a car of an extreme purchase price.
As of the San Diego Harbor update, the Hennessey Venom GT has its own event in Season 6. This event is the singular most expensive event ouside of Season 9 (not counting the events that require Premium cars), requiring 2,250,000 Credits to participate for the first time (if the player doesn't have the car already).

Asphalt Overdrive
The Hennessey Venom GT reappears in Asphalt Overdrive, this time clearly being the most powerful car in the game, only beaten by the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento (reprising its role as the most powerful car in an Asphalt game), with a starting rank of 1581 and a max rank of 1746, and also placed at the high end of Turf 5. Prior to the first update for the game, the Venom GT's starting rank was 1,561. Its bonus is that its Roll Cage adds x1.50 Bonus to your takedown score. It is also the most expensive car in-game - costing 1,250 gold to be purchased.
