The Holiday Overdrive Update is the tenth content update for Asphalt Legends, and the 47th update overall.

History[]

In the What's Next: Roadmap 2025 video posted on March 5, 2025, for updates and features planned for the year 2025, the December 2025 section was planned to feature Tournament mode, Team Pursuit update, and a new track.[1]

In the May Edition of the 2025 Roadmap published on May 19, 2025, the December Update was revised to feature a developing Tournament mode, Team Pursuit improvements, and a new track. The article also mentioned the Mastery System that was originally planned for the previous October 2025 Update, a newly announced Vanity update succeeding the one in the July 2025 Update, and Dynamic Rank Cars review, which is a feature that was planned to release for the October update but was released earlier in the August 2025 Mini-Update as the EVO Tuning feature.[2]

In the October Update of the 2025 Roadmap published on October 27, 2025, plans for the December 2025 Update have been detailed. The update prioritized in fixing a vast amount of bugs that were divided into Critical, Major and Minor, changing the EVO Tuning, releasing a new track that accompany with the new Drive Syndicate event. In the section MISSING BITS, certain planned features were revisited, and statuses of the Rougelike Mode, Tournament Mode, Vanity Update, Mastery System, and Multiplayer were also shared.[3]

Gameloft Barcelona has attended and sponsored the BCN Game Fest 2025[4] between October 10 – 12, 2025. On October 27, 2025, Gamereactor ES (Gamereactor's Spain branch)' Chief Editor, David Caballero, published an interview during the event with Gameloft Barcelona staff, including HR director Yolanda Sánchez, marketing director Arnaud Benéfice, and principal VFX artist David Martín. During the interview, Benéfice confirmed that the next map will be set in India, and planned to feature mainly the countryside of India.[5]

On November 6, 2025, a Dev Q&A was held with Muttley, Community Manager, and Escopeta, a developer under Gameloft Barcelona, in the Stage channel of the Asphalt Legends Discord server,[6] with the recap being posted under messages in the #dev-qa-november-2025 channel.[7][8]

On December 4, 2025, the preview of the India track was premiered on YouTube and presented by Muttley.[9]

Patch notes for the update were announced by the official creators on December 6, 2025, including DBT's Vrooms[10], GamingWithAwesome[11], Nox Fury[12]. The article for the Patch notes was published on the game's website on December 9.

On January 2, 2026, the Speed Resolutions Season's event showcase were announced by the official creators, including DBT's Vrooms[13], GamingWithAwesome[14], Nox Fury[15]. The article for the event showcase was published on the game's website on January 4.

  • The Legend Pass UI has been overhauled.
  • In Private Lobbies, the type of collision modes and the timer of initial ghost in seconds are now shown in lobby.
  • Indicators for cars that are ready for unlocking (with Keys Key or Blueprints Blueprints) or star-up were redesigned.
    • EVO indicator was added for cars that support EVO Tuning.
  • Near Me tabs in Daily Events and Multiplayer Leaderboards have been removed.
  • All unobtainable cars, including Asphalt Security cars, Formula E 2024–25 Season teams cars, and the Road Test version of the Faraday Future FFZERO1, were delisted from garage in Career races.
  • Mercedes-Benz's logo has been updated.
  • In a Car Hunt Start event, a new button was added to only list cars that are owned and starred-up by the player.

  • During the Holiday Overdrive Season, to celebrate the launch of the new India map, Epic Blueprints 70 (unlock guaranteed) of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster were given to all players.
  • On December 12, 2025:
    • A new free DLC, "Decal Pack", was launched, containing decals for the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray ("American Season"), Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.8 ("West to East Season"), and Aston Martin DB12 ("Supercharged Summer II Season"), and 3x Card Pack for each respective cars. This DLC is only available for the Epic Games version[18].
    • A redeem code, INDIASPHALT25, was launched.
  • On December 25, 2025, a redeem code, ASPHALTHOLIDAY was launched, providing 1x Class A Epic Wild Card, Credits 251,225 and 10x Holidays Pack.
  • On January 1, 2026, a redeem code, ASPHALT26 was launched, providing Tokens 260.

  • Several bugs were reported during the Speed Resolutions Season:[19]
    • The Speed Resolutions Overclock Showcase was displaying ranks incorrectly.
    • Chapter stages on Drive Syndicate 13 were missing.

Fixed[]

  • At the launch of the update, over 180 issues, divided into 3 categories, have been fixed, including:
    • Critical Issues
      • Nintendo Switch 2 eShop purchasing issues, including game crashes when left idle were fixed.
      • Ad issues causing a crash on iOS devices have been fixed.
      • Private Room invite issues on XBOX versions were fixed.
      • Multiplayer bot issues were fixed.
      • The issue of events not appearing in menus were fixed.
    • Major Issues
      • Several issues have been resolved to improve performance and stability.
      • Translation issues have been resolved.
      • Several UI issues, including displays of wrong or outdated info being displayed, and some buttons not working as intended have been fixed.
      • Graphical glitches on garage, or filters not working as intended have been fixed.
      • Several UI issues in the EVO Tuning menus have been fixed.
      • Norway map's respawn glitch have been fixed.
      • Special Event issues, such as UI and displayed info bugs, have been fixed.
      • Several UI issues in Multiplayer races have been fixed.
      • Several issues causing FPS drops have been fixed.
      • Ads and Offerwall issues have been fixed.
    • Minor Issues
      • Issues related to Ultimate Star-up Cards and menus have been fixed.
      • Overlapping icon issues across various menus and leaderboards have been resolved.
      • Issues about debug text being displayed have been fixed.
      • UI buttons not working, disappearing, or behaving unexpectedly have been fixed.
      • Several audio issues have been polished.
  • The bugs that were reported during the Holiday Overdrive Season were fixed:
    • In the EVO Showcase: Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, the Chevrolet Camaro LT was featured instead of the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.
    • In the accidental early run of the Drive Syndicate 13 on December 11, 2025, the McLaren Solus GT's Keys Key was missing as a reward.
      • This also persisted in the planned run of the event, and could only fixed by restarting the game.[20][21]
    • The Toyota GR Supra 2023's Car Hunt Start TLE rewarded 2x Car Hunt Pack instead of 3x.
    • On December 16, 2025, the Credits Heist: Singapore didn't appear.[22] It was fixed shortly after.[23]
    • The Tier 1 reward of the Legend Pass provided Epic Blueprints 15 (unlock not guaranteed) of the McLaren 750S Coupé instead of Epic Blueprints 25 (required to unlock). Legend Pass holders were compensated with an additional Epic Blueprints 10 needed to unlock the car.
    • Special Hunt: Koenigsegg CCXR bugs:
      • The thumbnail of Stage 2 features the Rimac Nevera Time Attack, even though the car does not appear in the event.
      • The packs rewarded in Stage 5 erroneously displays as A9 icon star yellowA9 icon star yellowA9 icon star yellowA9 icon star yellowA9 icon star greyA9 icon star grey, even though this stage rewards A9 icon star yellowA9 icon star yellowA9 icon star yellowA9 icon star yellowA9 icon star yellowA9 icon star grey packs.
        • All of these bugs were eventually fixed 2 days later.
  • The bugs that were reported during the Speed Resolutions Season were fixed:
    • The Speed Resolutions Season Showcase was mistakenly named as "Black Friday Season Showcase".
    • The Speed Resolutions Season Unbreakable Drive round had free-try cars missing.
      • It was fixed by the round getting restarted.[24]

  • The unofficial name of this update is "Holiday Overdrive and Speed Resolutions Update".
  • With this update, the "track skip" speed tricks of Norway can no longer performed due to introduction of the fixes.[25]
  • The Tushek Aeon E is the 8th car to be added to the game after being featured in 2024 Community Choice Car Poll, where it placed 9th with 9,248 votes in the First Round's Class S category.[26]
  • The McLaren 750S Coupé was miswritten as "McLaren 705S Coupé" in the PASS INFO section.
  • The "Thinking Monkey" emoji was based on a meme.[27]
  • As a response to the Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport's toy release date on January 1, 2026, the car was also added in the Chinese version's concurrent Phantom Riders Update in December 2025.
