The Hot Wheels Bone Shaker™ (also known as simply Bone Shaker™) is a hot rod by Hot Wheels.
Designed by "Mr. Hot Wheels" designer Larry Wood, the Bone Shaker is one of a handful of Hot Wheels deemed popular enough to warrant the creation of a real-life version.
Built in 2011 by Picture Car Warehouse, the Bone Shaker is an exact, life-sized replica that carries all the details of the original 1:64 scale model, including the trademark skull face with hands gripping the headlights.
The small-block Chevy motor with headers and straight pipes was specially selected to intimidate in both sound and performance.
To show off the interior details and stay true to the original form, the top is open -- although closed-top die-cast versions are also available. Inside, creepy details like the skull-topped spine shifter and the skull-and-crossbones steering wheel pair can be found.
The Hot Wheels Bone Shaker™ was added in the Hot Wheels Update as a low Class C car with the following statistics:
- Starting rank: 1049
- MAX rank: 1298 (+249)
- MAX+PRO rank: 1453 (+155)
- Tuning Kit bonus: +54
- Stock to MAX+PRO rank difference: 304
- Upgrade rank percentages: 10/40/20/30
- Nitro Efficiency: 8/12/16
The Bone Shaker's performance map is based on that of the Datsun 280Z, but with a higher total speed of 239.6 mph/385.8 km/h, a 3.5 mph/5.7 km/h increase fron the 280Z. In addition, its nitro efficiency is higher, at 8/12/16.
As with the two other Hot Wheels cars, the Bone Shaker is merely a collector's item.
