The KTM 1290 Super Duke R is a 1301 cc 75° V-twin motorcycle from the Austrian manufacturer KTM.

The KTM 1290 Super Duke R was added in the Motorcycles Update as a low Class C motorcycle with the following stats:

As of the Fifteenth Anniversary Update, the KTM 1290 Super Duke R is now a high Class D motorcycle.

Performance

On paper, the KTM 1290 Super Duke R has a substantial advantage over the Ariel Atom V8 and Donkervoort D8 GTO in top speed as it has a supercharged nitro top speed of 242 mph / 389 kmh - compared to the 226 - 228 mph / 363 - 366 kmh of its two rivals. In practice, this comes at the cost of relying on perfect nitros and/or stunt ramps and using it has the danger of inducing a wheelie, severely limiting steering angle and potentially causing a wreck.

While it has a slight advantage over both the Atom and D8 in acceleration, this can be nullified by the starting position given to the player by being placed behind of either of its rivals or colliding with a slower car in front of it.

Furthermore, while the 1290 Super Duke R has great nitro efficiency, both of its rivals have even better efficiencies, making them more viable on long tracks like Tokyo and Azure Coast.

Overall, while the 1290 Super Duke R has the potential of beating the 2 Class D kings, its reliance on supercharged nitro to be competitive makes it an inconsistent option that relies on map terrain.

As of the Fifteenth Anniversary Update, due to its low upgrade rank percentages, this bike can be MP Tuned with a config of 10-10-1-9 for a rank of 1322. While the total top speed with level 3 Supercharge enabled is the fastest in the 1322 bracket, the nature physics of bikes leave much to be desired, as it is prone to be knocked down by other cars and this bike's Supercharge is only effective in tracks that have lots of ramps.

Final verdict: "The KTM Super Duke R is placed in the early class C vehicles with a MAX+PRO rank of 1360. The motorbike has excellent handling and nitro duration. This makes it a perfect vehicle for short tracks. If the player can efficiently manage the Supercharged nitro, the bike can easily compete against vehicles having +150 rank difference."

Price & Availability

As of the Fifteenth Anniversary Update, the KTM Super Duke R costs  2,000 to purchase in the garage. (Previously 8 blueprints, then  525).

The KTM Super Duke became obtainable again in the following instances:

1. by watching 45 ads between March 17 - April 5, 2025. Players who already own the bike would get  100,000 in subsequent days instead.
2. Chasing Stars Event between December 27, 2024 - January 3, 2025 by landing on its cell. Players who already own the bike would get 1x Direct Upgrade - Class D instead.

Upgrades

As of the Gangstar Season Update, the KTM Super Duke R has no upgrades but 10 upgrades each and require  5,000,000.

Previously, upgrades cost  316,000 while Pro Kits required  105,600, 5 of each Class C Bike Part, 8 V-Twin Engines, 16 Common Techs and 4 Rare Techs.
