The Kepler Motion is a hybrid supercar by Kepler Motors.
Description
The Kepler Motion is a modern supercar made by Kepler Motors and it was released at the Dubai Motor Show in 2009. Infusing state-of-the-art automotive engineering and applied science materials with the latest advanced technologies, the Motion redefines the paradigms of the supercar with unprecedented performance, style, exclusivity, safety, and efficiency.
The Kepler Motion is a hybrid supercar, powered by a 550 hp (410 kW) Ford EcoBoost V6 engine with two Remy electric motors supplying 250 hp (186 kW), giving it a total of 800 hp (597 kW) and 575 ft·lb (780 N·m) of torque. It is capable of a 0-60 mph time of 2.5 seconds and a top speed past 200 mph (322 km/h).
Only 50 Kepler Motions were made.
Asphalt 8: Airborne
Summary
The Kepler Motion was added in the Research & Development Update as a high-end Class B car with the following rank statistics:
- Starting rank: 1369
- MAX rank: 1560
- MAX+PRO rank: 1680
- Tuning Kit bonus: +42
- Stock to MAX+PRO rank difference: 311
- Upgrade rank percentages:
- Nitro Efficiency: 6/12/16
The Kepler Motion mainly rivals the Ferrari LaFerrari and ONUK Sazan LM.
Performance
The Kepler Motion has a very high rate of acceleration, probably owing to its AWD drivetrain and high-power nitro.
The Motion's top speed stat is better than most cars, but isn't the highest in Class B. Despite its handling stat, the Motion has a wide drifting radius, which can be a serious problem when handling tracks like Venice and Patagonia.
Its acceleration, speed, and nitro efficiency are decent and slightly superior when compared to the ONUK Sazan LM, but the Motion has a wider drifting radius. There are several discussions that indicate the Kepler Motion is relatively similar in performance to the ONUK Sazan LM on almost all tracks which makes the latter the better buy.
The ONUK Sazan LM is easier to obtain (initially cheaper by 200 and later assembled with 35 of its common-rarity Blueprints), performs just as well and is significantly cheaper in its cost of upgrading to MAX in comparison to the Kepler Motion. The ONUK Sazan LM also has the added bonus of counting towards the Hot Summer collection which awards a total of 1,125,000.
Usage
Despite the similar and once-top tier performance, the Kepler Motion is merely a collector's item now as it has been superseded by later cars like the Holden Coupe 60, McLaren MP4/8, and Mercedes-AMG GT3. The aforementioned cars have superior top speed and drifting capabilities over the Kepler Motion (the MP4/8 also has the added advantage of superior acceleration), making the Motion now obsolete and not worth buying.
Price
The Kepler Motion costs 3,575 to purchase. As of the 2019 Spring Update, upgrades cost 1,800,000 while Pro Kits require 600,800, 28 of each Class B Part, 16 Initial & Early Techs each, 36 Mid-Techs and 48 V6 Engines.
The Motion was part of the 24th, 25th and 35th Multiplayer Seasons, Bloom Season 2, Burnout Season 2 and Flower Season respectively, as a Pro League reward for the former two, and as a Champion League reward for the latter. Players who already had the Motion would win 50,000 instead for the former two, and a Free Class A Upgrade for the latter.
