Knock down more cars than the other racer!
In-game description

Knockdown is a race type introduced in Asphalt 8: Airborne, Asphalt Nitro, and Asphalt Xtreme.

Overview[]

Asphalt 8 Knockdown mode

Gameplay of Knockdown mode in Asphalt 8: Airborne, in a Ford Shelby GT500.

In Knockdown mode, the player faces off against the rival. Similar to the Beat'em All race type in Asphalt 6: Adrenaline, the goal of Knockdown is to get more knockdowns than the rival. The target cars roams the track and will spawn randomly. The event ends when either the timer runs out or the maximum number of knockdowns has been achieved.

If the player and rival are tied at the end of regular time, the game enters a stage called Sudden Death. In 30 seconds, the first one to do a knockdown wins. If Sudden Death goes by and no one has performed a knockdown, whoever is racing in front wins the race.

Note that in Quick Solo Race, the number of knockdowns is always 15 and the time to complete is always 5 minutes.

With the introduction of motorcycles in Motorcycles Update, this race type is one of race types that motorcycles cannot compete in, due to their inability to knock cars down (despite being able to land on them to knock them down).

Winning + Stars[]

Getting more knockdowns than the rival at the end of the race awards 3 stars. There are bonus objectives as well, one of them usually being a target number of Knockdowns without Wreck.

Achievement[]

Winning a Knockdown event for the first time unlocks the Last Man Standing achievement.
