The Koenigsegg Jesko (pronounced YES-ko) is a megacar by Koenigsegg that appears in the Asphalt series. It is the successor to the Agera.
Overview
Description
Koenigsegg has unveiled an all-new megacar – the Koenigsegg Jesko – at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show. Jesko inherits the mantle left by the Agera RS as the leading track-focused, road-legal car for those looking for the ultimate in vehicle performance.
- Re-designed 5.0 litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing 1280hp on standard gasoline and 1600hp on E85 biofuel
- Revolutionary new 9-speed Koenigsegg Light Speed Transmission (LST)
- Advanced aerodynamics offering over 1000kg of downforce
- Active rear-wheel steering
- Re-designed carbon fibre chassis with more legroom, headroom and greater visibility
Jesko is named for Jesko von Koenigsegg, the father of company Founder and CEO, Christian von Koenigsegg.
Jesko von Koenigsegg was a key presence at Koenigsegg Automotive during its formative years. His considerable business acumen helped steer the company through many early challenges. Now retired and in his 80’s, Jesko von Koenigsegg and his wife, Brita, were on-hand at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show to see his namesake vehicle introduced to the world.
Asphalt 8: Airborne
Summary
The Koenigsegg Jesko was added in the 2019 Holiday Update as a high-end Class S car with the following statistics:
- Ultimate Rank: 1862
- Tuning Kit bonus: +56
- Nitro Efficiency: 7/12/15
Performance
The Koenigsegg Jesko features a very high maximum top speed of 316.0 mph (508.9 km/h) with a Tuning Kit active, fast acceleration, good handling, a sharp drifting radius and decent nitro efficiency. A relatively unique attribute of the Jesko is that most of its speed is stored in raw top speed rather than in nitro; with a nitro statistic of only 6.9 mph (11.2 km/h) and a raw top speed statistic of 309.1 mph (497.7 km/h), the Jesko can maintain immense speed whilst nitro is inactive.
The Jesko is one of the best vehicles in the game and, despite its acceleration not being the absolute fastest among its competitors (albeit still very fast), it can still compete with the Lamborghini Centenario and 2018 McLaren X2 (the Jesko's acceleration is 0.1 seconds slower than the X2's), especially on longer tracks with 2 or 3 laps and minimal ramps (e.g. Azure Coast). Other competitors of the Jesko include the Ferrari FXX K, McLaren Senna,McLaren 600LT, Aspark Owl, Koenigsegg Regera, McLaren MP4-31, and Apollo Intensa Emozione.
The Jesko is an excellent option for its class & placement but its restrictive availability requires packs to be purchased with microtransactions.
Usage
The Jesko is a popular choice for multiplayer with its performance and Ultimate status. Against equally skilled players with the Jesko's rivals, and barring any mistakes or mishaps, the outcome of the race can be determined just by the starting positions.
Price
The Koenigsegg Jesko is obtained by reaching Tier 25 of the Winter Festival, which is the final tier. If viewed in the Tag Racing car selection menu, it will show a price of 18,000, however, the option to buy out the car is unavailable.
The Jesko can also be obtained by reaching Tier 25 of the Ferrari SF90 Stradale Festival, however, the Premium pass is needed. Players who already own the car will win 10x 1-Advanced Tech Box instead.
Asphalt 9: Legends
The Koenigsegg Jesko was added in the Summer Update as a high-end Class S car with the following rank statistics:
- Starting rank: 3,637 (1 Key)
- rank: 3,793
- rank: 3,975 ( 40)
- rank: 4,170 ( 45)
- rank: 4,372 ( 60)
- rank: 4,608 ( 70)
- rank: 4,826 ( 85)
Performance
With a stock top speed of 484 km/h (300 mph), the Koenigsegg Jesko is the fastest car in the game in terms of raw top speed, surpassing the Koenigsegg Regera. The Jesko has mediocre acceleration and nitro duration, but it also possesses excellent drifting and drifting speed, even better than the drifting speed of the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport. With these features, the Jesko is considered the new "king" of the game, surpassing the Bugatti Chiron. However, many Jesko owners will be facing Bugatti Chirons of much higher stars and/or rank as blueprints for the Jesko are hard to come by, making the Chiron still competitive against it.
