The Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 (shortened to simply Lamborghini Centenario in-game) is a mid-engined limited-production hypercar produced by Lamborghini. It is based on the Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SV and was named in honor of Ferrucio Lamborghini's 100th birthday.
Description
Unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, the Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 was released to celebrate Ferrucio Lamborghini's 100th birthday. 40 examples, 20 coupes and 20 roadsters, were produced and all have been sold out. As a departure from the rest of Lamborghini's line-up, the Centenario was designed to be "not as extreme" compared to other wedge-shaped supercars or hypercars. The Centenario is also Lamborghini's last model to date with the "LP A-B" naming scheme that was started with the 1974 Lamborghini Countach LP 400 and extended with the 2007 Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640 (with LP "Longitudinale Posteriore" denoting a mid-engine design, A being the car's metric horsepower output, and B representing how many wheels the car drives), as this naming convention was dropped starting with the Lamborghini Huracán Performante in 2017.
The Centenario's engine is an uptuned Lamborghini L539 6.5 L (6,498 cc; 396.5 cu in) V12 engine, modified to make 759 hp (566 kW), a 19 hp (14 kW) increase from the Aventador SV. It also has a higher redline and fuel cutoff threshold than with the standard Aventador and the Aventador SV on which it is based. However, its torque output of 509 ft·lb (690 N·m) remains the same as with many other Aventador models. In addition, it uses the same seven-speed single-clutch ISR semi-automatic transmission as the other Aventadors, sending power to all four wheels.
It utilizes four-wheel steering, the first for a Lamborghini, although this is notably absent from the Asphalt games due to lack of support for four-wheel steering. Its weight is 3351 lb (1520 kg) dry, making it at least 11 lb (5 kg) lighter than the SV, although at the curb (all fluids and full fuel tank), it weighs 3889 lb (1764 kg), resulting in a power-to-weight ratio of 430 hp (321 kW) per tonne.
The Centenario is capable of 0 - 60 mph (97 km/h) in 2.65 to 2.8 seconds, 0 - 100 mph (161 km/h) in 5.4 to 5.75 seconds, 0 - 186 mph (300 km/h) in 23.5 seconds (a half second quicker than the Aventador SV), and a top speed exceeding 217 mph (350 km/h), the same as with every Aventador variant.
Asphalt 9: Legends
In a similar fashion to the Veneno in Asphalt 8: Airborne, the Centenario appears in Asphalt 9: Legends as a low Class S car with the following rank statistics:
- Stock rank: 2,702 (40 BPs)
- 1* rank: 2,851
- 2* rank: 3,012 (13 BPs)
- 3* rank: 3,183 (16 BPs)
- 4* rank: 3,441 (25 BPs)
- 5* rank: 3,709 (39 BPs)
As a starter Class S car, the car's blueprints can be obtained by beating the time limit in the Daily Car Loot event using a Class A car.
Performance
The Lamborghini Centenario is a Class S version of the Aston Martin Vulcan as both have similar performance stats.

Summary
In the 2016 Community Car Poll, the Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 was chosen as one of the requested cars for the game, alongside the Ferrari FXX K, W Motors Fenyr SuperSport, Koenigsegg Regera, DC Avanti, Honda Civic Type R, Lexus LFA, Aston Martin One-77, Arrinera Hussarya GT, and Saleen S5S Raptor.
The Centenario eventually appeared in the game via the Holiday Update, at least two years after its initial appearance in the 2016 Community Car Poll. It is the second car to debut in Asphalt 9: Legends and be added to Asphalt 8: Airborne sometime after, following the SCG 003S.
The Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 is a high-end Class S car with the following statistics:
- Starting rank: 1447
- This was changed to 1449 in the 2019 Spring Update.
- MAX rank: 1684 (+237)
- This was changed to 1693 (+244) in the 2019 Spring Update.
- MAX+PRO rank: 1817 (+133)
- This was changed to 1861 (+168) in the 2019 Spring Update.
- Tuning Kit bonus: +45
- This was changed to +72 in the 2019 Spring Update.
- Stock-to-MAX+PRO rank difference: 370
- This was changed to 412 in the 2019 Spring Update.
- Upgrade rank percentages: 10/40/10/40
- Nitro Efficiency: 6/10/13
Performance
The Centenario's performance is a mixture of the Aston Martin Vulcan and 2018 McLaren X2, with the balanced and non-exaggerated acceleration and overall handling of the former (significantly improved from the Aventador SV with regards to handling) and the nitro and top speed characteristics of the latter. It has a maximum real total speed of 318.1 mph/512.2 km/h, which it reaches in 3.2 seconds from a standstill, making it the new fastest non-Elite Vehicle by real speed terms (excluding motorcycles), beating long-time record holder BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage by 0.44 mph/0.71 km/h.
With all vehicles considered, it is the sixth fastest vehicle in the game, as it falls behind the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport (322.2 mph/518.8 km/h), Devel Sixteen Prototype (324.6 mph/522.6 km/h), Kawasaki Ninja H2R (327.4 mph/527.1 km/h with Supercharged Nitro), Lightning LS-218 (332.0 mph/534.7 km/h with Supercharged Nitro), and Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG Special Edition (335.2 mph/539.8 km/h). Its closest rivals are the McLaren 600LT, 2018 McLaren X2, Koenigsegg Regera and Apollo Intensa Emozione.
Against the 600LT, the Centenario's acceleration is at a distinct disadvantage even at MAX+PRO by a difference of 0.32 seconds (which is often enough for a near-instant knockdown from the 600LT on the starting grid if the former is spawned in front of the latter). It does have a higher total speed (with Tuning Kit enabled) by 0.68 mph/1.1 km/h, as well as better nitro efficiency (6/10/13 vs 6/12/15). The Centenario's steering and drifting radius are slightly inferior, but this can be remedied by the player's skills.
Against the X2, the Centenario's acceleration and steering radius are inferior (the former by 0.9 seconds to MAX+PRO total speed with Tuning Kit) but has a higher total speed by 1.3 mph/2.1 km/h, better overall drifting (albeit not as exaggerated as that of the W Motors Fenyr SuperSport or Ferrari FXX Evoluzione), and superior nitro efficiency (6/10/13 vs 7/12/16) to compensate for these two disadvantages.
Against the IE, the Centenario also has a higher total and raw speed and better overall nitro efficiency (6/10/13 vs 6/11/13) but a wider steering radius and a slightly wider drifting radius. On longer tracks, it faces strong competition from the Mercedes SLK SE and Lightning LS-218, the latter of which can go faster than every vehicle with Supercharged Nitro sans the Mercedes SLK SE.
Even though the Lamborghini Centenario is a decent contender in certain races, particularly in Multiplayer, it is mostly a collector's item, given the car's extreme overall upgrade costs including -only upgrades and Pro Kits calling for 92 V12 MPI Engines (60 during the original release), which are somewhat harder to procure outside of the car's R&D event, even when the Finish Line Box, Engine Box 1-5 and Daily Kit Box † grand these cards as of the Sixth Anniversary Mini Update, as well as the car's inferior performance (although only slightly) compared to the McLaren 600LT, Koenigsegg Regera and the McLaren X2 (especially at MAX+PRO) and the severe difficulty of its R&D event. Unless the player has a large supply of Tokens and Pro Kit Cards, it is highly recommended to not win this car through its R&D event.
Usage
Events
Even though the Centenario is slightly inferior to the McLaren 600LT and McLaren X2 on virtually every track, it is still as competitive in Class S Events as the Apollo IE and Aston Martin Vulcan. It is now the best Lamborghini car in the game, replacing the Aventador SV, although the Aventador SV does not have the restrictive availability and extreme upgrade costs of the Centenario.
Multiplayer
As a top-end Class S car, the Centenario is also capable of dominating in Multiplayer races, especially at MAX+PRO, where it faces fierce competition from the McLaren 600LT, McLaren X2 and Apollo IE. At lower ranks, it also rivals the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage, Audi R8 e-tron Special Edition, SLK 55 AMG SE, Porsche Carrera GT, and Chevrolet 2016 Camaro SS.
Car Mastery
- Main article: Car Mastery/Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4
The Lamborghini Centenario's Car Mastery awards a total of 168,415, 74, and 2 BP Boxes. Its 15th Mastery Challenge is one of the most ideal for farming Credits, as it pays at least 6,560 for finishing in 1st place and the race lasts on average 48 seconds, making it only less profitable than the McLaren MP4-31 and McLaren X2. However, like with the MP4-31, X2, and Weber Faster One, the Centenario's 15th Mastery Challenge is a Flawless race, which penalizes wrecks with instant disqualification. As of the Fast Lane Update, farming Credits with the Centenario is no longer viable in Car Mastery, but is still otherwise viable in Season 9, as its Season 9 race is set in Munich Subway.
Price & Availability
The Lamborghini Centenario was available during the following dates with its buying price of 18,000:
- December 14 - 20 2018
- January 18 - 22 2019
- January 31 - March 31, 2019
Its availability as a Garage offer varies on a player to player basis and is otherwise only obtainable through its Research & Development event.
Upgrades originally cost 720,050 + 13,950 (the -only upgrades cover all Level 4 and Level 5 upgrades) while Pro Kits require 1,000,000, 27 of each Class S Part, 56 Mid-Techs, 28 Advanced Techs, and 60 V12 MPI Engines.
As of the 2019 Spring Update, the Centenario's upgrades now cost 2,765,000 + 10,000 (the -only upgrades cover all Level 5 upgrades) while Pro Kits require 1,375,200, 50 of each Class S Part, 96 Mid-Techs, 64 Advanced Techs, and 92 V12 MPI Engines.
