The Range Rover Evoque Si4 is a 2-door, 5-seat subcompact SUV produced by the British manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover.
Overview[]
- Text originally from the Range Rover Evoque's Wikipedia page.
The original Evoque was a development of the Land Rover LRX concept vehicle, which was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in January 2008. The first generation Evoque was produced from July 2011 until 2018 in three- and five-door versions, with both two-wheel and four-wheel drive. The second generation car started production in 2018 by Range Rover.
The size of the LRX concept vehicle complemented a wide array of efficiency-improving technologies in the form of Land Rover's e_Terrain technologies. These included biofuel compatibility, lightweight construction materials, and technologies such as the removable carbon composite roof panels, regenerative brakes, a stop-start system, and the ERAD (electric rear axle drive) parallel hybrid powertrain system.
Interior design improvements were another main focus of the LRX concept, though the interior of the production Evoque changed significantly from the concept LRX. Notable interior features in the LRX included ambient interior lighting that changed according to Terrain Response settings, and vehicle data that were presented to the driver through a 'floating' three-dimensional LCD display. An aluminium centre console with an iPhone docking station stretched the length of the cabin, separating the four seats and the tailgate. Seats with open frameworks were used to give the impression of an airy interior, while also creating useful under-seat and under-floor stowage areas. Electric motors folded the rear seats forward, providing enough room for two mountain bikes to be fitted upright, with front wheels removed and stored in dedicated slots in the floor.
Asphalt 7: Heat[]
Shortened to Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Coupe Si4 appears as one of the game's starting cars, alongside the Abarth 500 esseesse and Mini Cooper S Coupé. It can be purchased for 43,317 once 10 stars are collected. It can also be rented for 15,000.
As expected from a car unlocked this early, The Range Rover Evoque Coupe Si4 has poor performance and is regarded as one of the worst cars in the entire game. Despite having a good launch speed, and stellar nitro efficiency, both being much better than any other early Tier 1 car, the Evoque is plagued with many weaknesses that render it unusable; its top speed is sub-par, equivalent to the DeLorean DMC-12 and Mercedes-Benz Classe C Coupe when fully upgraded. Its low top speed and heavy focus on nitro also makes its handling much stiffer and drifting much slower than its good handling stats might suggest. However, the Evoque’s biggest disadvantage is its low total speed of 196 mph; while most cars that rely heavily on nitro, such as the DMC-12, do have more competitive nitro speeds relative to the competition, the total speed of the Evoque is actually below average even when compared to nearby vehicles. With the low pace of Tier 1, the Evoque's nitro will inevitably run dry at some point despite its efficiency, where it is left in a helpless state due to its abysmal top speed. With this, despite what the Evoque’s acceleration and nitro efficiency might suggest, it cannot compete with the Tesla Roadster, BMW X6 M, Hyundai Veloster Turbo, or even the Abarth 500 ESSEESSE and Nissan Juke NISMO due to its many disadvantages. As it is unlocked early, it is only useful for early Career Mode races and to show the player what nitro-oriented cars are like, since later options of the archetype, like the DeLorean DMC-12 or the Tesla Roadster, are far more competitive and actually useful in the tier.
