License Plates are some cosmetic things found in most Asphalt games.
Asphalt Urban GT→Asphalt 4: Elite Racing
As in-game graphics were preliminary in comparison to other games in the series, the license plates in that game were just white panels sticking back to a car without any letters or decorations.
Asphalt 5→Asphalt 7: Heat
License plates were more advanced thanks to advances in smartphone graphics, and license plates are finally available on all platforms. However, still, it is just a white panel with black letters saying "ASPHALT", without any extra decorations.

Not all cars have a license plate. For example, the Mercedes-Benz Biome, Mercedes-Benz Silver Lightning, Lamborghini Egoista & Lamborghini Veneno have no form of license plate at all.
Trivia
- In the Collections menu artworks, some cars with white license plates( e.g Cadillac CTS-V Coupe Race Car, in the collection Cadillac) are depicted with black license plates.
