A Renault Clio R.S. 220 Trophy EDC in default orange-red equipped with the Los Aburridos decal

Los Aburridos is a decal for the Renault Clio R.S. 220 Trophy EDC in Asphalt Street Storm Racing.

Description[]

Los aburridos is Spanish for "the boring ones". The decal's main design is on the car's hood where it features a decorated red scull surrounded by orange flowers and a banderole with "Los Aburridos" written on it.

This type of composition is a reference to the Mexican Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a holiday associated with the Catholic celebrations of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day. Held on November 1 and 2, the multi-day holiday is commonly portrayed as a day of celebration rather than mourning.

  • A common symbol of the holiday is the skull, which celebrants represent in colourful and ornamented masks as well as foods such as sugar or chocolate skulls. The colorful designs of the skulls represent the vitality and individual personality of the departed.
  • The flowers around the decal's skull are marigolds which are also called flores de muerto ("flowers of death"). These flowers are widely used as decoration during the celebration and are thought to attract souls of the dead to the offerings on altars and graves.
  • The replacement of los muertos (the dead) by los aburridos (the boring) in the decal may be a joke or an allusion to an unknown circumstance.
