AN ALL-NEW ERA
With Artura, we started with a clean sheet. The McLaren Carbon Fibre Lightweight Architecture (MCLA) at its core is all-new. As is the High-Performance Hybrid powertrain. And so much more. Our relentless pursuit of lightness reaches another level. Aerodynamic efficiency is more advanced than ever. Helping to shape a minimal, beautiful new design.
From the rear suspension to the advanced E-differential, every new element contributes to a uniquely intense driving experience. Ultra-light supercar engineering. Blistering electrified power. Sublime agility and engagement. McLaren to the core. For the next generation.
THE IMAGINATION
Low and lean. Minimal and powerful. Artura is a brand new interpretation of our design language. Yet from managing airflow and heat, to achieving an ultra-low centre of gravity, and even enabling the perfect driving position – every curve exists for a reason. The seamless, sculpted feel is made possible by cutting edge carbon fibre expertise and advanced techniques such as Superforming. Beautiful functionality, that functions beautifully.
TOTAL ENGAGEMENT
The next-generation supercar offers next-level driver engagement. The innovative cockpit design brings powertrain and handling control switches within fingertip reach. Keeping your hands on the wheel, and eyes on the road. Electro-hydraulic steering provides optimum feedback.
The E-Motor’s instant torque enables throttle response that’s twice as fast as our pure petrol cars – seamlessly transitioning to the V6 engine to deliver a torrent of power from standstill. Infotainment and connectivity deepen your engagement too – including new HD touchscreens, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ capability.
IN FULL FLOW
Artura is sculpted to harness airflow to maximum effect. Features such as new hidden door inlet ducts and rear buttresses channel air over, under and through the body. The rear spoiler and diffuser generate 50kg of downforce for ultimate stability.
THE INNOVATION
Relentless innovation is in our DNA. It shapes Artura from the ground up. To redefine the supercar, every core element has been fearlessly rethought. This pioneering, technical innovation has enabled incredible performance. And new heights of handling precision. Balanced with exquisite attention to detail, driver focused technology and the ability to travel in electric-only urban mode.
Asphalt Legends Unite (formerly Asphalt 9: Legends)[]
The McLaren Artura was added in the New Tech and Black Friday Update as a mid/low Class B car with the following rank statistics:
Performance[]
The McLaren Artura is an alternative to the Italdesign Zerouno and the Ferrari 488 GTB, with similar stock speeds, slightly better acceleration and handling, but much worse nitro. At MAX, it still performs the same to the other two, with a good handling stat and better acceleration. However, its top speed is still unremarkable, as it barely exceeds 350 kmh with nitro, which depletes quickly due to it being below-average. Overall, the Artura's lack of top speed and nitro efficiency makes it a poor option for multiplayer.
Usage[]
The Artura one of the required cars for the Special Events of Deus Vayanne and Rimac Concept S. it requires the Artura to be at higher star ranks.
Availability[]
It was initially available in the New Tech & New Tech Reloaded Legend Passes during the New Tech and Black Friday Update.
Asphalt 8: Airborne[]
The McLaren Artura was added in the 2023 Halloween Update as a high Class S car with following stats:
- Stock rank: 1326
- PRO rank: 1861 (+535)
- Tuning Kit bonus: +56
- Nitro Efficiency: ?/?/?
Performance[]
The McLaren Artura is known for its strong points. It has impressive acceleration and handling and it also boasts decent nitro capabilities. However, the Artura comes with a notable downside which is its wide drift radius, meaning it will struggle on tracks like Dubai, Munich Subway and Sector 8 which heavily rely on drifting.
The Artura can be aptly described as a compact counterpart to the Chiron 300+, as both cars exhibit striking similarities in performance. In Gauntlet mode, it can serve as a reliable "Accelerator" when there are no Chiron 300+ in use.
