The McLaren Senna GTR is a racing version of the road-legal McLaren Senna.
Description[]
Text originally from the McLaren Senna's Wikipedia page.
At the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, McLaren unveiled the concept version of the track-only iteration of the Senna dubbed the Senna GTR. The production Senna GTR unveiled two years later has a different bodywork from the concept, with a different wing setup, toned-down aerodynamics, and utilizes a dual-clutch race transmission for faster gear shifts, a revised suspension system and Pirelli racing slicks in order to make it the fastest non-Formula One vehicle McLaren has ever created for faster lap times. The Senna GTR is estimated to produce at least 825 PS (607 kW; 814 hp) from its 4.0 L twin-turbocharged V8 engine and is meant to be faster and more agile than its road-going counterpart. On the exterior, the GTR utilizes wider front and rear fenders, a larger front splitter, new wheels and a bigger rear diffuser in order to make the car generate about 1,000 kg (2,204 lb) of downforce.
Asphalt Legends Unite (formerly Asphalt 9: Legends)[]
The McLaren Senna GTR was added in the British Tour Season Update as a mid Class A car with following stats:
- Stock rank: 2,783 (
50)
rank: 2,925
rank: 3,122 (
23)
rank: 3,353 (
27)
rank: 3,674 (
36)
rank: 4,025 (
51)
Performance[]
The Senna GTR is similar to its original counterpart, but mediocre handling and drifting make it uncompetitive.
Usage[]
As the Senna GTR is only available during its Special Events, many players will have it at lower stars. Vehicles like the VLF Force 1 V10 and Vanda Electrics Dendrobium are better choices and easier to upgrade.
Availability[]
The Senna GTR is available during the British Tour Season from its Star Hunt, Passport Event, and Grand Prix events. 1 is available from the Season Pass and additional
5 for those who purchased the Legend Pass.
As of the Carnival Rush Update, it can be obtained by reaching Garage Level 29 of the Collector Stage I. Its blueprints can be found in Card Packs of the new system that was introduced in the Asphalt Legends Unite Expansion Update, and in Legend Store along with its epic import parts.
Asphalt 8: Airborne[]
In the official 2018 Asphalt 8 Community poll asking which cars should be added to the game, the McLaren Senna GTR was one of the top results, alongside the BMW i8 Coupe, McLaren 720S, Mercedes-AMG Project One, Lamborghini Huracán Performante, Lamborghini Diablo GTR, Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE, Mazda RX-7 Spirit R, Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, and Ford Mustang Fastback.
The Senna GTR eventually appeared in the 2024 Summer Update, six years after its initial appearance in the 2018 Community Car Poll.
It appears as a high Class S car with the following statistics:
- Stock rank: 1363
- PRO rank: 1862 (+499)
- Tuning Kit bonus: +56
- Nitro Efficiency: 5.5/10/14
Performance[]
The Senna GTR's performance is based on the McLaren Solus GT, with better nitro efficiency at the expense of slightly worse handling and drifting. Just like the Solus, the Senna GTR's total top speed is the lowest among S1862 ranked vehicles, with 508.1 km/h compare to the standard 508.3 km/h of other non- vehicles, but this can be mitigated with its excellent acceleration and nitro efficiency
One thing to note is this car has a tendency to skid but this can be solved by not oversteering, which is also applied to the Solus
Overall, the Senna GTR can be described as a straight upgrade to the base model, the McLaren Senna, and can be used as a 1st car on some technical tracks in Gauntlet, and also in World Series
