Hi Guy! I am the Fandom Wiki Manager for the Wiki. I am here to help you and the community out with anything you need. Additionally, I will be the liaison to full-time Fandom staff. Please if you ever have any questions regarding the wiki, editing, styling, infoboxes, templates, etc, don't hesitate to ask me, take care!
My purpose here is to be your Wiki Manager but Id be happy to help you out. To my knowledge once you rename a page, it will automatically rename all comments. If the bot isnt doing this automatically then you may need to rename them manually. I will check for solutions to the bot problem
Seems the fix would be to revert the pages to their original names. Afterwards you would need to wait for FandomBot to change all the comments. Once that is complete, you will then be free to rename the page again to the newer name.
This issue occurs if Fandombot has not finished renaming all the comments if the page was renamed again.
Ah, so THIS was the reason! We renamed the pages too fast one after another, so the bot hadn't finished the comments of one page and got triggered to rename the comments of the next one. We'll try this, thanks!
It's the other way round: Comments aren't blocked on this page, but activated on other pages.
A wiki normally doesn't have comments, but talk pages (cf. the "Talk" tab at the top of Wikipedia pages). Article comments are an additional extension enabled by default on Fandom. They replace the talk pages, but they only do so for pages in the article namespace, i. e. pages that have links like asphalt.fandom.com/wiki/Article. All other namespaces on Fandom still have talk pages. That's why you can't comment
templates (Template: namespace),
categories (Category: namespace) or
top level Asphalt Wiki pages (Asphalt Wiki: namespace)
The glossary is in the Asphalt Wiki namespace, so it doesn't have comments, but a talk page. Other pages in the Asphalt Wiki namespace are, for example:
By the way, technically and internally, article comments are still treated like talk pages and in the Talk: namespace. That's why your user contributions page still shows "(Created page with [...])" when you added a comment. Internally, your comment is a page.
well, i think that after the daily heat cups stopped, i found myself playing less and less, as i have completed seasons 1-8, and now only play multiplayer...do you have any good recommendations for good MP cars? i currently use my McLaren MP4/8 at ~1560, which wins about 80% of the time. i also have a porsch 959 at 0202 0103, and i could upgrade it more.
I think I'm the wrong person to ask for MP recommendations because my MP career is not representative at all. Either I didn't have the resources or didn't get the blueprints to get the then-best MP cars, so I found that my Range Rover was very competitive, took me to Challenger League. Then the Dendrobium took me to Pro League, but when the Porsche Carrera was introduced, I got beaten too often by it. I switched to the Porsche Carrera myself then, got me to Champion League.
Currently I'm playing a lot with my McLaren M14A, I always liked that tin flute.
i have a messed up(tune wise) range rover, i dont have dendrobium, dont have Porsche Carrera, and i came SO CLOSE to getting the M14A, but didn't, and now i HATE that car as it somehow keeps up with my MP4/8. carreras kill me often, though. same with mazda rx-8 SE.
how fast do they go at ~1560? how do you catch up? i hit ~420, have better nitro efficiency, and way better acceleration, but if i mess up, they somehow keep up with me. they are impossible to knockdown at the beginning, also which is totally weird. i will be shooting past everyone, and ram into a M14A, and i somehow dont knock it out when i am going like, 100 kmh faster and using nitro.
if i start out in one of the back spots, instead of trying to get through the middle of all the cars, i loop around the group and wreck the person in the lead if i can for extra nitro and without the risk of hitting another car and slowing down. do you know if Hyundai i30 n or Porsche 959 are any good? i might try to get the i30n from MP, but i might use the Porsche if you say its any good. otherwise i will keep using the MP4/8 and try to get to champion league.
If you kill me, I kill you. It's simple. And I'll always get you.
I have a Porsche 959, it was very competitive, but I didn't really use it because I didn't have the engines at that time, and when I had them, I was already using other cars. I think it's still competitive, but you may want to ask on the Porsche 959 page to get up-to-date opinions.
The Hyundai has good acceleration, good nitro efficiency and good speed—but you won't use an Elite car for MP, will you?
no. but i would probably use it for TLE's, but my best D car right now is a nanoflowcell QUANTINO, which goes ~330 kmh, which is not bad for a D car...would the i30n be a better car? i usually have aroud 70,000 credits, and dont spend a whole ton on upgrades, unless i know it will be a good car.
I don't quite get what you mean by "forwarded message". The only way is to write on a user's wall. This will usually cause an e-mail notification to be sent to the user by the system.
Message deletion: You mean the envelope icon at the top bar to the right that shows a "1" if you got a message? The "1" appears automatically when someone writes on your wall, and disappears when you have clicked on the icon and read the message. The dropdown list that is shown when you move your cursor over the icon always stays; it shows the latest wall messages and cannot be cleared.
This forces the wiki server to rebuild the page from scratch instead of fetching it from its cache.
It's normal that you get notifications from other walls, too. You get a notification either when someone writes on your wall or when someone replies to a message of yours on another wall (every message marked with "Following" in the upper right).
Sorry, but I don't know what to make of that bug; to me the notification area is working as expected.
Moments ago, I saw the surprised envelope, hovered the mouse (Windows/Firefox) over it, a short 5-msg list dropped down, its uppermost item was "Can you teach me?", I clicked on it, this very page opened... and the envelope promptly quieted down.
And thanks for the consideration but, just to be clear, I hereby grant you my consent to delete the messages I had sent explicitely for you to delete. (And to delete any other as well, for that matter...)
Hey! Could i help with the statistics project? I’ve decided to not play asphalt 8 ever again and so i think it would be good for me to open all my boxes.
Do you think you would find it useful if i provided you with the data/results of those openings?
Hi, I was just wondering where things are with updates after the FLU. For example, the Lykan HyperSport needs 16 F6 Englinges, according to the article, but I think, since it needs 1 for tires, 1 for suspension, etc. to get level 1, it probably needs more than 16. Does everything on the wiki need to slowly be updated? If so, I will just update the info if I find it. Otherwise, are we waiting to see if the FLU changes are permanent? Or have we given up altogether?
generally we document changes even if they only last for one update (see the changed multiplayer matchmaking for one season). So yes, it you can find the data, go ahead. The problem is: As most of us have already upgraded many cars, we don't know the first pro levels. So we can only add information for one level.
An exception was the Lotus Evora Sport 410 which I didn't have, so I could add all pro kit levels while participating in its R&D recently. (I only upgraded tyres and drivetrain, but as the requirements for suspension and exhaust are usually the same, except for Early/Initial Tech, I could deduce the missing numbers).
No, I wish I knew how to do that. I think most of that type of data extraction requires "unofficial" versions of the game, and software like Cheat Engine. If the game remains alive for a while, I might look into it more. And yeah, I will check out how to document past vs present upgrade requirements. Thanks! If I find any data, I'll be sure to post it.
Hm... I think your comment was just deleted along with several others. I haven't searched the deletion logs, but it also happened to me one day when an argue was deleted and my comment with it. Don't take it personally, neither did I.
Alright I hate to mention specific names but can you please remind someone called McLaren P1 Boy not to simply revert my edits? I was only adding even the most trivial matters like the first thing in N updates and he reverted them and saying that's unnecessary. I mean for fuck's sake these things are trivial too and he dare to call them unnecessary. If he does that again I feel like wanting to be admin and temporary lock the pages after i edit them -_-
To be honest, when I was new to this site, I found it very interesting to read the "first to..." sections on some pages as it gave me an impression of the development of the game.
@ McLarenP1 Boy: I noticed when you deleted some of them the first time because you left a comment, and when you, NgKQ weren't quite amused when you added them again with a comment.
Let's see it as a kind of statistic observation for those interested, although we may personally not find it useful for our gameplay. Think twice if it adds some value to an article when you post it, but think three times if it isn't just a personal view before you delete it.
And WTF I didn't expect him to see it just stfu I know what I'm doing don't try to stop me. I hate to argue here so if you'll tell me to stop and revert again I'll definitely take another action on you. Like this one admin said this is also statistical and there's no point for you calling it unnecessary :P
I can understand if they continue their practice to not drop BPs that are rewarded during an event in an update (for example, the Egoista BPs which were granted by the Snowflurry Festival). But I didn't pay attention to HOW MANY BPs they are actually withholding!
I usualy don't hit the "Get BPs" button because they are always to expensive, but it's a good way to see if it's worth opening BP boxes at all. Which it is not, because I didn't get a single of your mentioned BPs from any box lately.
