  • Hi guy I noticed you added the new upgrades for the ford gt 2017. Here are some of the missing values. I’d do it myself but adding new tech cards not something in my knowledge.

    • Actually, "361.5kmh @1517" is the unboosted top speed. With TK, a 1517 Trezor reaches 372.4 top speed + 41.2 nitro = 413.6 total speed.

At the high 1500s, in turn, maxed-out Pagani Zondas (434.5 @1594), and MP-tuned M2 SEs, MP4/8s and ARSEs (≈435-440 km/h), are quite common.

    • Ahh yes thx for that

  • When it dawned on me, near the the finishing line, that the Infiniti Vision behind me was yours, I tried to brake and pull over, but it was too late. (On a second thought, I'd better have swerved and crashed.)

Ah! To me, no need to return a purportedly attempted favor, thanks.

    • I did this race to do the required 5 barrel rolls for Daily Tasks. I saw you waiting in the lobby and expected that you drove your MP4-25. As I was knocked down at the start and as I was attempting to perform the barrel rolls at places I'm not used to, I was far behind the field and didn't expect the Centenario to be you. :-)

I saw you braking and thought you intended to park side by side as in former times of free MP races, but then you passed the finish line, and as we were the last, there were no other cars to watch anyway. :D

  • I can confirm that the Drivetrain Pro Upgrade to stage 4 does require the number shown on the page (169,000 ish) but I have no idea how to edit it. The upgrade to stage 5 is 325,500 fusion coins as well. Can you do it for me? Thanks!

  • Hi,

    I'm trying to make a template for a user's garage: User:Geceo#Garage

Is it possible to automatically compute the "speedrank" column given the "TS+N" and "rank" values? I know that the "stats" page have a "Top speed" that seems to be computed automatically but I don't understand how/where the magic is done.

Note : I know that the speedrank is not very interesting nowadays, but it's just a simple example. There may be a more interesting formula to find, including the nitro efficiency and handling, to help the users identify their best possible MP vehicle…

    • Hi, just to let you know that I changed the "ultimate effect" background color in Nitro efficiency index (Asphalt 8) to a dark green gradient, because it wasn't easy to spot the best values with a mostly yellow gradient in a long list (check my garage to see the new gradient used in a list). Hopefully you'll agree.

    • Oh, my first design was just inspired by the golden Ultimate label. In my own Excel file, the color is black with golden letters, but black has no effect on our black wiki pages, so I chose this one.

You are right that the gold isn't easy to spot when placed next to yellow in a list.

  • Hi Guy,

you will surely notice this is a free continuation of part of our previous conversation here... :)

Me being superlazy on doing something manually & repeatedly, I rather spend several hours or days in order to automate it ;) And this is the result: box-new-data-editor.html (plus my first 2 data contributions :)). What do you think about this minimalistic JavaScript-powered "editor"? Some thoughts you won't find in the linked file (BTW it self-destructs after 100 days if not being downloaded.):

    1. The editor could be possibly amended also for something else than cards from Pro Kit boxes. It seems like these boxes will go away soon (or later?), according to GL's strategy?
    2. Provided that BPs stats would still be useful, name of BP cars for autocompletion could be probably taken from here.
    3. Using an editor like this might be the 1st step for having a clean unified data for easy import into your statistics database.
    4. And of course, I don't claim any special rights on the editor, I coded it rather for the fun of it :)

A side note: It's kinda stupid one cannot attach a regular file in this Fandom wiki, isn't it? Maybe they are afraid of spreading viruses, or I don't know...

    All for now, cheers! :)

    • Forget my reply. I just tried the csv converter and realized that you don't care about the columns before the first "real" data cell. So it's fine like it is!

    • Yeah, it's fine like it is, but surely there is room for improvements, like making the editor generate more complex data, so that the contributions are even more automized. Surely it would take some time (of which I don't have much) and I think practice will show where we can move further. Who knows, maybe someone will grab my code and make some great stuff with it :)

  • Hi, I noticed the default Mastery template includes a Category:Mastery, which is good. Problem is there's another category whose name is Category:Car_Mastery. All cars in Car Mastery appear in Mastery. Is this category useful?

    • Hi,

Thanks for the explanations. If I understood correctly:

If renaming categories is not possible then all contents of these two categories should be moved.

    • Provided

      1. that there are only files in these categories and no artices and
      2. that all files in these categories are images and that these images are really used for the respective subpages,

      then yes.

      1. I discovered some articles left in "Performance Stats"; I just recategorized them.
      2. All files are images and belong to the respective subpages, I just browsed through all of them.

Unfortunately, it's impossible to rename categories. Moving the content of categories isn't possible either. The only way is to recategorize all of them.

We'll set up a bot account for the MassCategorization script and have it flagged so it can do the job.

  • Hi, Could you please add the following redirects:

    • "Rapid Transit" -> Munich Subway
    • "Rooftop Raceway" -> Munich Subway
    • "Market Square" -> Munich Subway
    • "Lunar Liftoff" -> Orbital Loop

    Thanks!

    • Hi Geceo,

you can do that yourself, it's easy:

      • Create a page with the name you want to redirect to the target page.
      • Insert #redirect [[Target page]].

Example for a page named Rapid Transit: #redirect [[Munich Subway]]

      That's all. :-)

  • Hi, I don't know if I can do anything about this, but I think that "Category:Career_Mode_Seasons_(Asphalt_8:_Airborne)" and "Category:Asphalt_8:Airborne_Career_Modes" should be merged.

      Loading editor
    • Hi Geceo,

      please note:

      • [[Category:Name]] immediately categorizes a page.
      • [[:Category:Name]] (with a leading colon) lets you mention and link to a category without categorizing the page.

I just wondered why my message wall was sudddenly categorized. :D

About your question: They are different categories, the first contains seasons, the latter contains different race modes. At least it should; the categorization in this area is not quite consistent at the moment.

I've changed the category of the season 9 page you have worked on so it is in the right category now.
