The Nissan 370Z Special Edition's Research & Development was released during the Holiday Update and was held on the following dates:

• January 10, 2019 (after the Infiniti Vision GT's R&D and the January 2019 Asphalt Moments series.)
• May 30, 2019 (as part of an Asphalt Moments series)
• March 5, 2020 (after the Lotus Evija Festival)

There are 4 Labs spanning a total of 50 Tests with a time limit of 9 days once the event is started.

The labs will unlock in the following schedule:

• Lab .002.: 1 day later or pay  400
• Lab .003.: 3 days later or pay  700
• Lab .004.: 6 days later or pay  600

• The minimum tune required to complete the event is [5505 5050]. This requires  895,550, 18 V6 Engines.
  • As the event gives only 7 V6 Engines, 11 more must be obtained through other means.

• Players who still have boxes from the Renault Alpine Celebration's event can open those as both the 370Z SE and Alpine Celebration use Class C Parts and V6 Engines.
• As all upgrades are unlocked after completion of Test .001., players are advised to use free upgrades on Top Speed levels 4 and 5 and Nitro level 5 to save  568,800 on upgrades.
• Handling upgrades should not be ignored as the 370Z SE only has a tight drift radius when upgraded.
• As this R&D is strongly based on the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage's event, with some differences in the tests, many of the same tips and warnings for that event apply here.
  • Unlike the Hommage's R&D event, the 370Z SE's R&D has no Flawless tests. Despite this, players should still exercise caution in Lab .004. as the last 12 Tests have a recommended rank of 1653 (reachable only with a MAX+PRO 370Z SE and a Tuning Kit active).
