The Nissan GT-R is a front-engined, 2+2 supercar produced by Nissan since 2008. While no longer part of the Skyline range, it is the successor to the Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) and the Skyline name has been given over to the V35.
Description
Between 1969 and 1974, and again between 1989 and 2002, Nissan produced a high performance version of its Skyline coupe called the Nissan Skyline GT-R. This car proved to be iconic for Nissan and achieved much fame and success on both road and track. The Nissan GT-R, now a standalone model no longer based on the Skyline, has its roots in the Skyline GT-R.
Similar to the later generations of the Skyline GT-R, the GT-R is all-wheel drive with a twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine and has the signature four round tail lights. However, the GT-R is an entirely new model sharing little with its Skyline siblings and is a complete redesign from previous Skylines rather than an incremental evolution; the four-wheel-steering HICAS system has been removed and the GT-R now uses a twin-turbo 3.8L V6 engine called VR38DETT, which replaces the previous RB26DETT 2.6L inline-6 engine. Due to the GT-R's heritage, the chassis code for the all-new version is known as CBA-R35, or R35 for short (where CBA is the prefix for emission standard), carrying on the naming trend from previous Skyline GT-R generations. The GT-R has also retained its Skyline predecessor's nickname Godzilla, given to it by the Australian motoring publication Wheels in its July 1989 edition.
The Nissan GT-R is powered by the VR38DETT 3.8L (3,799 cc) twin-turbo DOHC V6 engine. Models produced up to 2010 produce a manufacturer-claimed power output of 478 hp (356 kW) at 6,400 rpm and torque output of 434 ft·lb (588 N·m) at 3,200 — 5,200 rpm. In 2010, these figures were updated to 523 hp (390 kW) at 6,400 rpm and 451 ft·lb (611 N·m) at 3,200 — 6,000 rpm, respectively.

Now named as the Nissan GT-R (R35), it appears as a low Class B car with the following statistics:
- Starting rank: 1296
- MAX rank: 1463 (+167)
- MAX+PRO rank: 1543 (+80)
- Tuning Kit bonus: +39
- Stock to MAX+PRO rank difference: 247
- Nitro Efficiency: 6/11/16
Performance
The Nissan GT-R (R35) has quick acceleration, average handling and low top speed. Compared to the Ferrari 458 Italia and Mazda Furai, the GT-R has the advantage of having the most efficient nitro of the 3.
Overall, the Nissan GT-R (R35) can be described as a cheaper, Class B version of the Cadillac ATS-V Coupe due to the R35 having the same speed with an ATS-V that has its Elite Tuning set to the usual 0808 setup. The R35 has better acceleration than the ATS-V but the ATS-V, being lighter, handles better.
Price
As of the Fifteenth Anniversary Update, the Nissan GT-R (R35) costs 570,000 (originally 62,500, then 67,000, then 69,000 and then 100,000). As of the 2019 Spring Update, upgrades cost 506,000 while Pro Kits require 125,600, 8 of each Class B Part, 6 Initial & Early Techs each, 8 Mid-Techs and 12 V6 Engines.
It can be earned by banking 10,000 during the BXR Bailey Blade GT1's Enduro Double Down event, 50,000 will be rewarded if the player already has the car upon banking said EP amount.
Asphalt Nitro
The Nissan GT-R (R35), while identical to its Asphalt 8: Airborne rendition, is now a Class C car.
