The Nissan Leaf NISMO RC is the racing variant of the Nissan Leaf electric car.
Description[]
Powering the all-new Nissan LEAF NISMO RC are two electric motors at opposite ends of the chassis. The motors produce 240 kilowatts combined (120 kW each) and an astounding 640 Nm of instant torque to the wheels. They more than double the maximum power and the torque output of the previous LEAF NISMO RC, which was introduced in 2011. Drivetrain technology sourced from the new Nissan LEAF include the high-capacity lithium-ion battery and inverters.
A new all-wheel-drive system gives the LEAF NISMO RC its outstanding cornering prowess. Power is managed independently to each axle, instantly supplying torque to the tire with the most grip to let the car maneuver quickly and efficiently around the track. Similar to the previous model, chassis weight balance has been optimized by the midship location of the battery pack, with the electric motors and inverters ideally placed over the front and rear tires.
The LEAF NISMO RC features a multitude of lightweight components and a full carbon-fiber racing monocoque structure, allowing it to tip the scales at just 1,220 kilograms. The power-to-weight ratio results in an impressive performance of zero to 100 kph in just 3.4 seconds – 50% quicker than the previous model.
Asphalt 9: Legends[]
The Nissan Leaf Nismo RC was added in the Godly Beasts Update as a low Class D car with the following rank statistics:
A total of 766,200, 20 Uncommon Import Parts and 4 Rare Class D Import Parts are required for upgrades.
Players who logged in for a limited time starting from December 24, 2019, were given 15 BPs for the Nissan Leaf Nismo RC—enough to unlock the car—as a special gift "for making 2019 the most spectacular year possible".
Blueprints for the Nissan Leaf Nismo RC can be bought in the Legend Store for 100 per blueprint.
Usage[]
The Nissan Leaf Nismo's main weakness is its low top speed (2nd lowest in the entire game). As such, it is not recommended for top-speed oriented tracks like Himalayas and New York. Despite its excellent acceleration, decent handling and stellar nitro, the top speed is too low to compete with other low Class D cars.
Like the Vanda Electrics Dendrobium, Porsche Taycan Turbo S, Ferrari SF90 Stradale, and the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37, the Nissan Leaf Nismo RC can reach a higher top speed when in Perfect Nitro. Whereas other cars get a 3% speed boost, the Leaf's Perfect Nitro gives an 11% speed boost.
Asphalt 8: Airborne[]
The Nissan Leaf Nismo RC was added in the 2020 Christmas Update as a low Class D car with the following rank statistics:
- Starting rank: 1013
- PRO rank: 1232
- Tuning Kit bonus: +37
- Nitro Efficiency: 7/10/13.5
Performance & usage[]
The Nissan Leaf Nismo RC has excellent all-around stats for its placement, largely regarded as an improvement of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive. However, its biggest and only weakness is its slow acceleration, which leaves the Leaf Nismo RC vulnerable to being knocked down at the start of the race.
Overall, the Nissan Leaf Nismo RC should only be used for World Series: Classic Season if the player doesn’t have any other competitive cars.
Price & availability[]
The Leaf Nismo RC is obtainable by reaching Tier 8 in its Festival or purchased for 40,000.
As of the Gangstar Season Update, upgrades require 55 of each Common Tires, Common Suspension, Common Drivetrain, and Common Exhaust, 160 Nissan Leaf Nismo RC Kit and 4,000,000.
The Leaf Nismo RC is obtainable for a second time by reaching Tier 25 in the Team Fordzilla P1 Festival. Players who already owned the car would get 8x Wild Card - Superb instead.
