- Nitro type definitions
- Level 1 = Triggered by firing nitro one. Basic level of nitro, and the longest-lasting.
- Level 2 = Triggered by firing nitro twice, outside of the red zone. Equivalent to Perfect Nitro in terms of nitro efficiency.
- Level 3 = Triggered by firing nitro again after triggering Level 2 nitro. Highest power, but the nitro gauge drains the fastest with this nitro level.
- Perfect Nitro = Equivalent to Level 2 nitro in terms of nitro efficiency, except it has Level 3 power nitro. Triggered by firing the nitro once it hits the red zone (must be timed right).
- Infected = More powerful than Perfect Nitro/Level 3 nitro, but will never run out until the player has been wrecked by Infection Overload. Available only in Infected mode.
Nitro efficiency is defined as how much of a full single Nitro tank (As a percentage) is consumed per second. For example, a Nitro efficiency of 12 means that 12% of a full tank is drained per second, and that it would take roughly 8 (100/12) seconds to empty a full tank.
Hence, numbers closer to zero denote longer-lasting nitro.

- 9: Very Low
- 8: Low
- 7: Mediocre
- 6: Competitive
- 5: Excellent
- 0~4: Extreme

- 12: Mediocre
- 11: Competitive
- 10: Excellent
- 0~9: Extreme
