The Pagani Huayra R is a track-only variant of the Huayra hypercar, and the successor of the Zonda R track-only supercar.

In March 2021, Pagani introduced the Huayra R, a track-only version of the Huayra and the successor of the Pagani Zonda R. The Huayra R uses the "Pagani V12-R", a 6.0 L naturally aspirated V12 engine built from the ground up with HWA AG to produce 850 PS (625 kW; 838 hp) at 8,250 rpm as well as 750 N⋅m (553 lbf⋅ft) of torque at 5,500 rpm to 8300 rpm, and a redline at 9,000 rpm. And it is likely that the new engine was based on the architecture of the M120 engine block by Mercedes-AMG. The Huayra R has a 6-speed sequential transmission newly developed for the car, and various weight saving measures have resulted in a lower dry weight of 1,050 kg (2,315 lb).

Pagani plans a limited 30-car production run for the Huayra R, similar to the limited 15-car production run of the track-only version of the Pagani Zonda, the Zonda R. It will cost €2.6mln + taxes (around $3.1mln + taxes).

Performance

The Pagani Huayra R is basically a McLaren F1 LM with faster acceleration, but has worse handling and nitro. It also struggles with a wide drifting radius.

Availability

It was initially available in its Special Event between August 25 – September 15, 2022 that required the Bentley Continental GT Speed to start, therefore requiring the Legend Pass of the Bring the Heat season to be purchased. The event was later reran on the following dates:

• July 29 – August 19, 2024, during the Asphalt Legends Unite Expansion Update, as a community-voted event.

Starting from the Carnival Rush Update for a period of 6 months,

• Its  Blueprints are available in the Silver, Gold, Platinum & Legend Card Packs, that can be found in Milestone, End-of-league and Triumph rewards.
• 1 of its epic Import Part is available in the Epic Import Parts Pack.

The Pagani Huayra R was added in the 2022 Lunar New Year Update as a high Class S car with following stats:

• Stock rank: 1537
• PRO rank: 1861 (+324)
• Tuning Kit bonus: +56
• Nitro Efficiency: 8/12/16

Price & availability

The Pagani Huayra R was originally obtainable by reaching Tier 15 or Tier 1 of the Premium Pass in its Festival.

The Pagani Huayra R became obtainable again in the following instances:

1. could be purchased for  8,000 between the 2023 Spring Update and the 2023 Holiday Update and was available for 7 days whenever it was offered.
2. its Car Hunt (1) by reaching Tier 1 with the Premium upgrade. Players who already own the car would get 20x Wild Card - Legendary instead.
3. its Car Hunt (2) by reaching Tier 1 with the Premium upgrade. Players who already own the car would get 20x Wild Card - Legendary instead.
4. Chasing Stars Event by wishing 350 times between December 20, 2024 - January 3, 2025. Players who already own the car would get 1x Master Key - Legendary instead.
5. its Car Hunt (3) by reaching Tier 1 with the Premium upgrade. Players who already own the car would get 20x Wild Card - Legendary instead.

Upgrades

Prior to the Gangstar Season Update, upgrades required 55 of each Legendary Tires, Legendary Suspension, Legendary Drivetrain, and Legendary Exhaust, 60 Legendary Tech, 60 Legendary Engine, 160 Pagani Huayra R Kit, and  7,440,000.

Between the Gangstar Season Update and the 2023 Holiday Update, upgrades required 55 of each Legendary Tires, Legendary Suspension, Legendary Drivetrain, and Legendary Exhaust, 60 Legendary Tech, 60 Legendary Engine, 160 Pagani Huayra R Kit, and  10,000,000.

During the 2024 Spring Update, upgrades required 45 of each Legendary Tires, Legendary Suspension, Legendary Drivetrain, and Legendary Exhaust, 20 Legendary Tech, 20 Legendary Engine, 160 Pagani Huayra R Kit, and  10,000,000.

As of the Mercedes Season Update, upgrades require 40 of each Legendary Tires, Legendary Suspension, Legendary Drivetrain, and Legendary Exhaust, 160 Pagani Huayra R Kit, and  10,000,000.

Alternatively, as of the 2025 Halloween Update, upgrades require  1,200 or  12,160,000.
