The Peugeot SR1 is a hybrid concept convertible sports car developed by Peugeot unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.
Description[]
The convertible Peugeot SR1 was unveiled to the public at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. The SR1 features HYbrid4 technology, which would later be used in the 2011 Peugeot 3008, the world's first mass-production diesel-electric hybrid.
The SR1's front-mounted engine is a 1.6L (1,598 cc) turbocharged THP petrol inline-4 engine with a power rating of 215 hp (160 kW) and a torque rating (with overboost) of 221 ft·lb (300 N·m). At the rear of the vehicle sits a 94 hp (70 kW) electric motor that produces a maximum of 131 ft·lb (178 N·m) of torque. In electric-only mode, the SR1 becomes a ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicle), while its combined cycle fuel consumption is only 4.9 liters per 100 kilometers (58 mpg‑imp; 48 mpg‑US) and 119 g/km of CO2. When the two powertrains operate simultaneously, the SR1 develops a potential maximum power of 308 hp (230 kW) and also benefits from an AWD drivetrain.
The SR1 comes with an electronically controlled six-speed transmission. Performance figures include 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.6 seconds, a standing kilometer (3,281 ft) in 23.2 seconds, and a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h).
Asphalt Legends Unite (formerly Asphalt 9: Legends)[]
The Peugeot SR1 was added in the Around the World Update as a mid-class D car with following stats:
- Stock rank: 721 ( 30)
- rank: ?
- rank: ? ( 23)
- rank: 1,900 ( 33)
- rank: 2,307 ( 42)
- Overclock rank boost: +171
Performance[]
The SR1 performs similar to the Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary with a higher top speed but with worse acceleration, handling, and nitro efficiency. Its weak acceleration and nitro efficiency does not make it a useful option for multiplayer.
Usage[]
It was required for Ajlani Drakuma's Special Event, and Automobili Pininfarina Battista's Special Event Rerun.
Availability[]
It is available to unlock and max-out from a variety of its Car Hunt & Car Hunt Riot TLEs which the first ones made between October 5th–13th, and 13th–17th respectively.
As of the Festive Sparks and Dragon Race Update, its blueprints can also be obtained from completing Sponsorships contracts.
Asphalt 8: Airborne[]
The Peugeot SR1 was added in the Santa's Gift Update as a mid Class B car with the following statistics:
- Starting rank: 1323
- This was changed to 1348 in the 2019 Spring Update.
- MAX rank: 1534 (+211)
- This was changed to 1502 (+154) in the 2019 Spring Update.
- MAX+PRO rank: 1662 (+128)
- This was changed to 1600 (+98) in the 2019 Spring Update.
- Tuning Kit bonus: +49
- This was changed to +48 in the 2019 Spring Update.
- Stock to MAX+PRO rank difference: 339
- This was changed to 252 in the 2019 Spring Update.
- Upgrade rank percentages: 20/20/20/40
- Nitro Efficiency: 6/9/12

Performance and Usage Overview[]
Compared to other vehicles in Class B, the Peugeot SR1 features a moderately high maximum speed of 270.9 mph (436.3 km/h), fast acceleration, good handling, decent drifting and extremely good nitro efficiency. The SR1's main competitors are the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Drako GTE, Aston Martin V12 Speedster, Ferrari 599XX Evo, Formula E Gen2, Ferrari F12berlinetta, Spyker C8 Preliator and Onuk Sazan S.
Featuring a MAX+PRO rank of B1599, the Peugeot SR1 is one of the few vehicles in this rank bracket that can even remotely compete with the McLaren MP4/8. Although inferior to a full-PRO MP4/8 at B1632, similarly-ranked MP4/8s can be beaten by the SR1. The SR1's strongest statistic is its extremely good nitro efficiency, its only advantage over the MP4/8. The SR1 is faster than similarly-ranked MP4/8s but it can often be matched against full-PRO MP4/8s in Multiplayer. Overall, the SR1 is the second-best Class B vehicle in this rank bracket after the MP4/8. Some vehicles from mid to high-tier Class A and Class S can also pose a threat in Multiplayer when "down-tuned", especially the Audi R8 e-tron Special Edition.
Due to the introduction of MP rank bracket in the 2022 Lunar New Year Update and the upgrade conversion introduced in the Gangstar Season Update, the Peugeot SR1 is no longer useful at full PRO as it will be matched with 1678 - 1682 cars, none of which it can compete against.
Note: The following section is based on the Peugeot SR1 's performance prior to the 2019 Spring Update.
Similar to the DS Survolt, the Peugeot SR1 benefits from superb acceleration and superb nitro efficiency. While not bad by any means, the SR1's top speed is low due to it being a nitro-focused car, and the handling is roughly on par with mid-tier Class B cars. The SR1 manages to perform well on short tracks due to its nitro and acceleration but struggles on long tracks due to its lackluster top/total speed despite what its rank may otherwise suggest.
On the other hand, the SR1 shares a niche in Multiplayer with the ED Design Torq, owing to their rapid acceleration and superb nitro efficiency ratings of (6/9/12). The handling of the SR1 are also beneficial on technical tracks like Sector 8, Venice and Dubai. This comes at a price as the drifting capabilities of the SR1 also serve as a double-edged sword due to the car's low top speed and reliance on nitro, leaving it vulnerable to overtakes or knockdowns while drifting. In addition to its low top speed, the SR1 is unlikely to be able to beat other multiplayer favorites such as the Mercedes-Benz Biome, Shelby Cobra 427, Lamborghini Asterion, and Chevrolet 2016 Camaro SS as those can match the SR1's speed at lower ranks. Care should also be taken not to upgrade the SR1 beyond 1590-1600+ as doing so may put the player with high-end Class A/S cars that it cannot compete with.
Overall, while the SR1 can be useful to a certain degree in multiplayer, it still remains as little more than a collector's car.Availability[]
As of the 2020 Halloween Update, the Peugeot SR1 costs 850,000 to buy. Previously it costed 5,000 tokens to purchase during its limited offer. Considering its price and limited use, obtaining the car through its R&D event is still the preferred choice. Buying the car itself is not an ideal decision, considering that the SR1's R&D event is among the easiest events to complete.
The SR1 was on sale for a limited-time during the following dates:
- February 14 - 18, 2021: 740,000 (13% off)
Between its debut update and the Lunar New Year 2017 Update, the SR1 was available as a weekend offer for the aforementioned . With the Car Blueprints Update, it now requires 65 BPs to be built. Assembly takes 3 hours to finish and can be skipped for up to 232.
As of the 2019 Halloween Update, the car no longer requires Blueprints to be assembled, and has a full purchase price of 3,300, 1,700 less than the original buying price.
The SR1 was part of the 26th and 27th Multiplayer Seasons, Heatwave Season and Fall Flash Season 2 respectively, as a Pro League reward. Players who already had the SR1 would win 50,000 instead.
The SR1 was obtainable again in the following events:
- Genty Akylone Festival by reaching Tier 8 with the Premium upgrade in the Genty Akylone Festival. Players who already own the car would win 8x Wild Card - Superb instead.
- Racing Pass 15 by reaching Page 8 and cost 8 to purchase. Players who already owned the car would get 250,000 instead.
