The Pinnacle of Speed Update is the sixth content update for Asphalt Legends Unite after the rebrand, and the 43rd update overall.
History
Initially in the Asphalt channel's 2025 Roadmap video presented by Muttley on March 5, 2025, for the plans of the May update, certain Quality of Life improvements were mentioned to be included in the update, including New Quests and Unite Pass revamp.[1] However, on May 19, 2025, the updated roadmap was posted as "May Edition", with the May update rather featuring Nitro Catch-up mode (later became Green Streak), Multiplayer bots, Build Your Own Bundle, Collector Mode Special Event and Spotlight pass.[2]
On May 22, 2025, a teaser for the Sonic the Hedgehog collaboration was uploaded on the game's social media platforms with the caption "Aw yeah, this is happenin'!", referencing a line from Sonic in the 1998 game "Sonic Adventure".
The patch notes for the update were unveiled on May 23, 2025 by creators of the ALU creators program including Tune, Race, Repeat![3], Nox Fury[4], LokeshG[5] and GamingWithAwesome[6], and published on the game's website on May 26, 2025. The update was released on the next day, May 27, 2025.
For the Nitro Summer Fest Season, the Season Preview was unveiled by the official creators on June 21, 2025, including Tune, Race, Repeat![7], Nox Fury[8], LokeshG[9], GamingWithAwesome[10], SEFYA[11] and BRAYAN171[12]. The article of the Season Preview was published on June 22, 2025.
