The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport is a GT4 racecar based on the 718 Cayman GT4 road car, and the successor of the Cayman GT4 Clubsport race car.
Overview[]
On 3 January 2019, the 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport was unveiled in two variants, Competition and Trackday, with first customer cars delivered to customer teams ahead of the 2019 Roar Before the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona International Speedway.
The race car is powered by a 3.8-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six engine producing 425 PS (419 bhp; 313 kW) at 7,500 rpm and 425 N⋅m (313 lb⋅ft) at 6,600 rpm connected to a 6-speed PDK gearbox. The kerb weight is 1,320 kg (2,910 lb). Both variants feature a welded-in roll cage, a six-point harness and race bucket seat, a selection of body parts made of natural-fibre composite materials, the front suspension from the 911 GT3 Cup, racing brakes, lightweight forged wheels and slick tyres. Aerodynamics are improved over the previous generation GT4 Clubsport, including a swan neck mount rear wing. The Competition variant features 3-way adjustable shock absorbers, a 115-litre fuel cell, brake balance adjustment, a lightweight battery, a fire extinguishing system, a quick release steering wheel from the 911 GT3 R and a three-piston air jack system while the Trackday variant features fixed shock absorbers, an 80-litre fuel cell and a handheld fire extinguisher instead.
The new Porsche Sprint Challenge GB, which is made up of Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport cars, will start at Silverstone Circuit on 25 April 2020.
Asphalt Legends[]
The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport was added in the Porsche Season Update as a high-end Class C car with the following statistics:
- Stock rank: 1,889 (
Key)

rank: 2,125

rank: 2,461 (
25)

rank: 2,757 (
32)

rank: 3,113 (
36)

rank: 3,727 (
40)
Performance[]
At stock, the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport has all-around mediocre stats. It is a poor choice for multiplayer as the Vencer Sarthe and Arrinera Hussarya have a higher top speed and better acceleration, while the Rezvani Beast X, Dodge Viper ACR, and Artega Scalo Superelletra are faster on technical tracks.
At 5*, the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 becomes the best handling class C car, and can compete against most cars on technical tracks, due to its handling stat at over 90 (with Overclock). Its acceleration is somewhat still lacking even when fully upgraded, which is a benefit in disguise for other cars with better acceleration, like the Acura NSX or the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. Coupled with its great nitro efficiency, it can reach its top speed and maintain a lead.
Availability[]
It was initially available in its Grand Prix event.
Its Key Hunt event has been launched since the Fire and Lightning Update, in which its
Key can be unlocked once maxed-out. Epic import parts can also be obtained in its Car Hunt Riot event.
The key for the car could be obtained in the Inferno Automobili Inferno Special Event if the player had maxed out the car.
During the Asphalt Legends Unite Expansion Update, it was available in its Special Hunt event, in which its
Key could be obtained once maxed-out.
Asphalt 8: Airborne[]
The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport was added in the 2020 Summer Update as a high-end Class B car with the following statistics:
- Starting rank: 1328
- PRO rank: 1688 (+360)
- This was changed to 1682 (+352) in the 2021 Lunar New Year Update.
- Tuning Kit bonus: +50
- Nitro Efficiency: 8/12/16
Performance[]
The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport features a very high maximum total top speed for Class B, very fast acceleration, very good handling, a sharp drifting radius and moderately good nitro efficiency. Since the 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport is a Festival car, it has very poor performance in respect to its rank at low tunes.
Usage[]
Due to being a Festival car, the 718 Cayman GT4 CS is useless at lower upgrade levels.
The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport is useful in Multiplayer League at full-PRO, where it competes with the Acura NSX GT3 Evo, Audi R8 e-tron Special Edition and Mazda RX-8 Special Edition, as well as various other vehicles from high-end Class B and low-end Class A. Regarding Class A competitors, the SSC Tuatara, which, as an ULTIMATE car, is always ranked at 1717, can often get placed in Multiplayer races alongside the 718 Cayman GT4 CS due to poor matchmaking; the Tuatara has a higher total top speed and raw top speed compared to the 718 Cayman GT4 CS, though the Tuatara has worse acceleration.
The 718 Cayman GT4 CS would have formerly been useful at full-PRO in the weekly Class B TLEs, but these TLEs have not occurred recently and will likely not occur in the near future.
The 718 Cayman GT4 CS is the best Porsche-brand vehicle in Class B and the second-best Porsche-brand vehicle overall in the game after the Porsche 918 Spyder with Weissach Package, which is in Class A. A Porsche-brand race is featured in the current version of Season 5: Injection in the Career Mode; the race is set on Crystal Lake, Patagonia, and it has the Ghost-recording option.
